Common Kings, Wade in your water (Ukulele Tutorial) by Kainalu Kamai chords
Start Jamming...
[Em] Asked her where [C] she run away to, [G] said a holly evah
[D] Say she love [Em] the North Shore, [C] bikini top, black skots [G] and big boy shorts
Oh, how's it everybody, it's me, [Eb] Nal Samaya
coming back at you with the tutorial on how to play Greedy Moonwater by Cometheans
So today I'm gonna start you off with two versions, my key I played it in and the original version
So for the my version I played it in, the chords are
Okay, okay, [B] so the chords are [Bb] E and B, well that's not E, F [C] and C
That's for all [G] the verses and chorus
So basically, the strumming pattern for the way I played it in should be like a guitar
So [Eb] you strum it, kind of mash it up to the intro so it should be [Dm] like this
[Bb] [F] [C] Can you do that?
Okay, [Ebm] let's do this again
So you gotta play it like this
[Dm] [Bb] [F]
[C] [Eb] Or if you're just Hawaiian, [Dm] you just strum them
[Bb]
[F] [C] Either way, it still sounds [B] good
So when you get to the chorus, it's gonna change beat into like a reggae beat
So after it goes to the [Dm] verse, [Bb]
comes [F] [C] to the chorus
[Dm]
[Bb] [F] [C] [Dm]
[Bb] [F] [G] So it sounds like that
[Db] So I'm gonna hear the words, it's gonna be like
[Dm] So where she [Bb] run away to, said a holly evah
[C]
Say she love the North [Dm] Shore, [Bb] bikini top, black skots and big boy [F] shorts
And I'm [C] running, and I'm out, and I'm [Dm] waiting, you're watching, and I'm [Bb] waiting, you're watching, and [F] I'm waiting, you're watching
[C] And I'll catch you [N] later
So it's gonna sound like that
So when it gets to that funky part where the chords change
I don't know what the chords are, but I eared it out, so it would be
[Bb] A, B, I [Am] think it's A, yeah
[Dm] And then back to B and F
[C] And then you maybe go C
So it should sound like this, after [Eb] the one verse
[Fm] [Eb] [Bb]
[Fm] [Am] [Bb]
[F] [Am] [Dm]
[Bb] [F] [Am] [Dm]
[Bb] [F] [Am] [Bb]
So you're in the surface, [Am] in the flow [Dm] train
I will stay the [C] night, just to catch you [Eb] later
And then jump back into the chorus
And basically, pretty much that's how you would play that version, or the song
So going to the original key, the original key is in G, wait oh
[Em] E [C] minor, C, [G] G, [D] and D
[G] So basically, same strumming pattern, like the guitar kind of stopped kicking
[F] So it would be like this
[C]
[G] [D] And then of course the same reggae strumming
[C] And then the chorus
[G] [Bb] [Eb] So you wanna hear it with words?
Okay, let's try [Em] this
Ask her where [C] she's gonna wait, [G] said I'm a heaver
[D] Said she loves the road show, [C] bikini top, black skirt, [G] denim and po' shoes
[D] Come now, come now, can I [Em] wait in your water
Can [C] I wait in your water, can [G] I wait in your water
[Bb] Till I catch [Em] your wave
[C]
[G] Yeah, yeah
So it would sound [Eb] like that
So when it gets to that, change the funky part again
[C] The chorus would be C, I think
[Bm]
And I think this is B minor?
[Em] And E minor
[D] I don't know what chord this is, but I think it goes to this one
[Eb] So let's try it
[C]
When the sun [Bm] fades, and the floats away
[Em]
I will stay the [D] night, just to catch your [Eb] wave
I think so, it would sound like that
But pretty much, if you're having trouble trying to figure out how to play the song
Just follow the video
I mean, this is my first, actually this is my first instructional tutorial video
So don't mind all the small kind mishaps and everything else
But basically this song is easy if you wanna play it in the lower key like how I played it for the video
So anyways, if you have any questions, comments or concerns
Please notify me or just message me
And I'll get back to you with more videos and originals coming soon
So, aloha, shoots, and filming it right here at LCC
