[C] Hey, what's up everybody?
This is Tyler from [N] 10thumbspro.com
coming at you with another lesson.
Today we're doing I'm Yours,
the easier beginner strummer version, all right?
So you can go ahead and look for the advanced version
on Saturday in B.
But if you just got your ukulele,
let's say it's [G] Christmas time,
you love this song, you wanna learn it,
I'm gonna [F] break this down as easy as possible
to get [G] you playing this song in no time, all right?
10thumbspro.com, check the links below
so you can get involved and help us [Am] grow.
But if you came just because that [Em] ukulele's yours
and you wanna [Abm] break it down, that's cool,
I dig it, and I respect it.
I want you to grab your ukulele,
bring a tension span, [N] follow me on in,
and let's break this lesson down right now.
All right, time to break down I'm Yours by Jason Mraz.
Now remember, this is the beginner, [Ab] easy version.
We will be dropping the full [G] version
in [B] B [G] major this Saturday,
but this is going to be a simple version
for any of you out there that got the ukulele
and you're just beginning, but you really like this song
and you wanna play along with it.
We are going to need a C [C] major, all right?
Ring finger, third fret, [Am] [G] G major,
pointer finger, second fret, C string,
middle finger, [C] third fret, E string,
[G] I'm sorry, middle finger, second fret, A string.
Your ring finger will be the third fret, E string.
[Am] A minor, middle finger, second fret, G string,
and an [F] F major, which [Am] is going to be the same as our A [F] minor
but we're going to put our pointer finger
on the first fret of the E string.
And [C] later, we're also going to need something
called [Bb] an E [Db] diminished, and that's a little later.
[Ab] Okay, now, the idea is to go [C] from one measure of C
[G] to one [Am] of G to one of A [F] minor to one of F.
[D] So if you were to count it, [C] it would go
1, 2, 3, [G] 4, 1, 2, [Am] 3, 4, 1, 2, [F] 3, 4, 1, [C] 2, 3, 4,
1, 2, 3, [G] 4, 1, 2, [Am] 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, [F] 4, 1, 2, 3, [E] 4.
But we [B] need to make it a little groovier than that.
[C] So we're gonna play it like this.
[G] [Am]
[F] [C] Alright, now make sure at this point if you're a true beginner that you're able to strum
the chords and count to four.
[Eb] One, two, [G] three, four, one, two, etc.
[C] Once you get that down, let's break the strum [Gb] down.
[C] What I'm doing is I'm going down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up.
But you'll notice the second time I go down, up, the down is a little stronger.
down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up.
And this [G] happens four times over each chord.
So only to C [C] would look like this.
down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up.
[G] Then you could switch to the G.
down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, [Am] down, up.
A minor.
down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, [F] up.
[C] Alright, [D] so what I'm going to go ahead and do is I'm going to put that [N] together and I'm
going to play through this loop three times in a row.
Your goal should be to play [Gb] along with me and [G] try to keep the rhythm the whole [C] time,
okay?
So here we go.
[G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C] And [D] believe it or not, [G] that is 99.9% of the [C] song.
There's one other little part that I'm going to show you right now.
Alright, so that's it.
That's the entire rhythm.
Go ahead and put that to the lyrics and you have the song, alright?
Now there's one other part, that part where it goes, should be love, love, [Bb] love, love,
love.
[G] And what we're doing [C] there is we're going through the loop like
[G] normal, [Am] singing those lyrics.
[F] When we get to this part, it's our God forsaken right to be [Am] love, love, love, [Bb] love, love.
[E] Now what we're doing here is we're [G] making a chord called an E diminished, middle finger,
first fret, ring [Ebm] finger, middle finger, [Db] first fret of the C [Ebm] string, ring finger, first fret
of the [E] A string.
And you're going to let that one just play.
One, two, [C] three, four.
And then you go right back [Bm] into the rhythm, alright?
[C] So if you run through that really quick.
[G]
[Am] [F]
[Em] [C]
[N] Alright, that is I'm Yours.
Get that under your fingers, [B] practice it because we're also doing [Gb] the [Abm] [E] [B]
advanced version
in [Gb] the key of B minor [C] as well.
Alright?
But go ahead if you're a beginner, really get this one under your fingers so you can
play it, so you have it down, so you feel comfortable with it before you go [Eb] ahead and
move on, alright?
10thumbspro [C].com, thumbs up if it helped [B] you and until next time, [C]
keep playing [Bm] ukulele,
keep letting us know what you want to learn and we're going to do our best to help you out.

Alright, I'm Yours.
[Abm] Now you got it, I know a lot of you probably bought [D] your ukulele just to play this song.
It was so popular, super uber mega hit, [G] millions and millions of copies sold and now you [Eb] got
it, you can play it on ukulele [G] and people are going to go, oh dude, I'm Yours.
