[E] Hey guys, welcome back today.
So this is part two of our traditional gospel guitar.
So we're doing [G] things like congregational songs.
So you might hear [D#] something like glory, glory, hallelujah, or bless that wonderful name of Jesus.
So if you get a little lost in some of the breakdown, please reference the last two videos.
You'll see a link below.
Okay, so let's start with [E] the one chord.
So on the one chord, we're pretty much just hovering over that riff.
[Am] [Cm]
[G] [C] So it's just a little trot right there on that C.
And so we're just playing that C pentatonic.
[E] [A] [C]
[A]
[C] [G] [C] I'll put it in a time.
[Cm] [Em]
[F#] Or you know, you can just change that up as you feel.
[N] There's tons of variations of this riff.
You can also do a half step to the three [E] to make it [N] bluesier.
So here's the original.
[C]
Here's the bluesy version.
[Cm]
[E] Alright, so once we [C] leave the one, so bless that wonderful name of Jesus, we'll go to the four.
[F]
So I'm not playing that root note.
I'm not playing that F.
So F, then we're going to go to F sharp [C] diminished.
And so that diminished chord is movable, so you can move it in minor thirds.
So [D#] let's start it over.
[G]
[E] [G#m] Alright, so that's [C] C9.
[G#m] [C]
But [F#] we're going to play it right here.
[C] So I'm skipping now on [E] that root note.
And I'm pretty much [Gm] just playing those three strings.
Then [F] we go to the four.
[F#] Diminished.
Back to one.
[C]
Five.
[F] [F] Or.
So that's an F with a [G] G in the bass and on top.
[C] Bless that wonderful name.
[A] [C#] [D] [C#]
Alright, so [G#] we're taking this just like we did in the last traditional video.
We're walking down from [C] the C7 to [A] the A7.
[D] But we're just going to use the top four strings.
[A]
[B] Then we're going to turn around.
[A] [F#]
[C] So we're doing.
That's a C with the G in the bass.
[Am] A minor.
[G] [C]
A D9.
[F]
Four.
[G] [F] [C] [E]
So back to the one.
[C] And here's the turnaround.
[F]
[E] [C] Back to the [N] five.
So that turnaround is.
There's a couple ways you can do it.
What I do in the intro is.
[C]
That's C.
So that's the [E] first inversion.
So you have the three in the bass.
[C] So that's E.
[B]
[C] So C with the E in the bass.
[C]
With the F in the bass.
[B] B.
[C] C with the five in the bass.
Or G.
[G]
[C] If you want to do it in the higher register.
[F] C.
F.
[Am]
[C] Diminish.
And move that up a half step.
[G]
That's the whole song.
[F#] [D] [Am]
[Gm]
[F] [F#] [C] [A]
[C]
[C] [F#] [G]
[Am]
[C] [F#] [C] [F]

[A] [Am] [C]
[G] [Am]
