[B] You know, Cory Borrow just can't seem to wipe the smile off [F#] his face lately.
He's in a really good place in his career and in his [C#] personal life.
2010 was [B] an amazing year for Cory with his [F#] Ramblin' Man EP and the release of his full-length
album [D] Brand New Me, which features the single, [G] Lead Me On.
Here's the story [D] behind that [G] tune.
[Am]
[D] It's a song we actually wrote the day before we recorded [G] it.
I was in the middle of messing with a tune [D] and had the idea of [C] this [Bm] guy-liking [C#m] being
[G#m] toyed around by [A] women.
And I just thought it was [G#m] a funny idea and I played the idea for Lloyd in the studio
while we were recording.
[E] And he said, man, I really like that.
You ought to go [A] finish that.
[B] I said, well, my friend Liz Rose is in town.
She's got a place in New Braunfels.
She actually [C#m] called and said she's got some time.
So we got out [D#] of the studio at [A] about, I left there about 6 o'clock and I drove to New [F#m] Braunfels
and wrote the song [C#] with her in like 45 minutes and then turned around and came back to [F#] Austin
and had it [B] done and ready to go the next morning.
And it's just, we put [E] it as the first song on there on the record and it just kind of,
it's a lot of fun.
It's a real, kind of got that old style feel for us, you know, the real simple country feel.
[B] But it's got a neat little melody to it.
And, you know, it's just a fictional story about a guy who likes being teased by women.
But I don't have any relationship [E] to that.

[G]
[D] [C] Here [G] I am, busted up [D] again.
Another wasted [C] love.
It was worth it on the road a while.
Hanging on her poison [G] smile.
And that girl was easy on [D] the eyes.
But hard on my [C] heart.
All the signs said we were wrong.
I let her lead [G] me on.
Lead [Em] me on, [C] sweet baby.
[G] You were not [D] a lady.
[A] But you [C] always turned [G] me on.
Throw [Em] me down, leave [C] me thirsty.
[G] Spare me [D] your mercy.
[A] Just as [Em] long as you [C] keep leading me [G] on.
[D]
[C] [G] I don't want to sing another [D] sad song.
Saying the same old [C] thing.
I don't need your sympathy.
Don't shed your tears for [G] me.
Days when you find me split [D] in two.
Save myself a [Am] run to you.
Just [C] take me by the hand.
You can lead me on [G] again.
Lead [Em] me on, [C] sweet baby.
[G] You were not [D] a lady.
[A] But you [C] always turned [G] me on.
Throw [Em] me down, leave [C] me thirsty.
[G] Spare me [D] your mercy.
Just [A] as long as you [C] keep leading me [G] on.
You [A] can lead [C] me lonely.
[D] You can lead [E] me crazy.
[F] [C] You can lead me barely hanging [G] on.
Just [A] as long as you [C] keep leading me [G] on.
[Em] Lead me on, [C] sweet Jesus.
[G] She left me [D] in pieces.
[A] She knew all [C] the ways to turn [G] me on.
Throw [Em] me down, leave [C] me thirsty.
[G] Till I'm begging [D] for mercy.
Just [A] as long as you [C] keep leading me [G] on.
Just [A] as long as you [C] keep [G] leading me on.
