[E] You [B] know, Cross-Canadian Ragweed has proudly carried the Oklahoma Red Dirt Banner all across
the [F#] country for going on 15 years now.
But make no mistake, these guys are a rock band.
Cody and the boys have [Bm] come a long way from their early days in Yukon, Oklahoma, [F#] and [B] they've
developed a sound that is uniquely their [A] own.
[C#] 51 Pieces is actually a [A] pretty funny story.
[B] We had a gig in [A] Cleveland at [C#] the House of Blues and it sold [A] out like a week in advance.
[B] We never get sell-out shows like that, [E] you know, House of Blues that far away.
So we're really excited to get up [B] there and did the gig, great show.
[A] Met a cat that owns a bowling alley right next door.
[B] And he said, after the gig, why don't you guys come over and we'll do whatever you want,
[E] you know, free booze, smoke, whatever you guys want to do.
[B] So we went over there [A] and listened to [E] Stones as loud as it would go [B] and we [B] bowled and drank
and had a good time.
Hopped [C#] back in the bus.
The bus call was 4 [B] o'clock.
We got there like [A] 4.15. and then we [G#m] got pulled over at 5.15. [C#] Some of us were in bed, some of us weren't. And the [A] cops busted in. [F#m] [A] Threw Randy on the couch. Started ransacking everything [F#] and they were [A] jerks. And we kind of calmed them down and said, you know, we're nice folks, leave us alone. [B] You know, we'll [A] cooperate. And they [B] found enough paraphernalia [E] to haul off 51 pipes. [B] And they got a kick out of it. They was like, you know, there's 10 of you [A] on the bus and [E] 51 pipes, which was actually 58. [B] I thought you missed them. Yep, sure did. I did miss them. [E] One night the lyrics [B] popped up and I got with Mickey Braun, really [A] stuck on a chorus and he said, how many people's on the bus? I said [B] 10. And he said, never occurred to me 10 out of [C#] 10 could go free. So rolled from there. [A] [C]
[A] The O-H-I-O-S-H [C]-B had a quota to fill, that quota was [A] me. Hell of a knife down to H-O-B, 51 pieces on the side of the road. Frenzy Ford and Mary [C] Jane, [A] they can keep that hole in the [D] lane. I was cool until the sun up [A] came, 51 pieces on the side of the road.
