Hey blues fans today, I'm going to show you the opening licks to I'm tore down
Performed by Eric Clapton off the from the cradle album.
This is an old Freddie King song
It's in the key of C
[C] And it's a good example of a [E] song that starts on the five so it's in the key of [G] C the five chords the g7
to f7
[C] and back to the c7
[B] And [G] it sounds something like this

[Em] _ I'm not going to really show [G] you that part, but if you want to learn it, it's simple.
It's
third fret G
fifth fret D
third fret [F] D

_ [D] and [Em] land on the fifth fret a and then that same pattern you move it down to the F [F] note and
_ [Eb] _ [C] _ [B] Then up to the C
[C] third fret a
fifth fret G
_ [B] _
[Bb] Third fret G and
[G] Then fifth fret D
So when it starts it's starting on that on the five chord, which is the G and [F] then the lick comes in

Playing those two notes at the same time
[Fm] 8 on E and then we're going to do a half bend on the half tone bend on the 10th fret [B] E
And it's it's all [Am] pretty quick lick

Okay, look two is this

And so what we're doing here is we're on the 11th on the E and we're bending up a
Full step a full tone and then we bend up again on the 11th, but only a quarter tone _

Then we're gonna hammer up from 8 to [Gm] 11 on the B
