[D] _ _ _ [G] _ _ [Dm] _ _ _

_ _ _ _ _ _ Hey, what's up you [E] guys Marty Schwartz here got a easy fairly easy song progression for you _
A lot of people asked on one of my old videos what the saddest of all keys is and it's this one is D minor
[Dm] But you have to say it with an English accent
_ D minor saddest of all keys
_ [C#] All right, bad English accent for the UK people out there.
I
_ Apologize.
[D] So what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a D minor chord
_ _ So, you know middle finger _ on
second fret of the G ring finger on the third fret of the B _
_ Index finger on the first fret of the high E
[Dm] _ _
_ Like that.
Alright, so we need to do [D] that.
What we're gonna do is we're gonna pick we're gonna pluck the _ _ _ _ _
_ _ The D G and B
_ _ _ But
We want our pinky _
We already are gonna have our index finger down on the first fret there
But our pinky is going to be on the third fret of the high E for that first _ _ _
First hit of that string like this
_ [G] _
Just _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ _ _ like that.
So here's what we here's what we got [D] so far.
We got this _
_ _ [Gm] Then _ _ _ [Dm] _
pinkies gonna come off so we go _ _
And _ _ you hit that high E again that your index finger is pressing down.
So here's what we got
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Then we're gonna put our pinky back down
_ Pluck _ it and then pull it off while that's still staying on the first fret.
So it sounds like this _
_ One _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ more time _ [D]
so _ _ _ [G] _ _ [Dm] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ then I'm gonna hit the B string right after that, _ but here it is
_ _ _ Okay, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
the next thing I want to do is I'm gonna play an F major [Em] 7 chord
it's just an F chord with the high E ringing out [F] like that and you hit the D and G string _ _ [Am] _ and
Then you strum it so [F] it's
_ _ [Am] _ Then _ _ I switch [D] these two fingers up to a C chord and I'm gonna [C] pluck the A and D string _ _ and
Then strum that and that's the whole intro [D] _ sounds like this
[Dm] _ _ _ Sounds _ _
[F] _ _ [Am] _ _ [C] _ _ _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ [Am] _ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ pretty cool.
Alright, so now let's groove out a little verse action here and we're gonna do a D minor chord
_ _ [F] To _ _ _
[Dm] F and you can let it be F [Em] major 7
[Am] _
That open E in [Dm] there
_ _ _ [G] _ [F] _
_ _ [C] _ _ _ _ We got a C chord after [Dm] that so we go down down down down up F [F] chord down down [Am] down down up
_ [C] C chord down down down down up back to D minor
[Dm] _
_ _ [G] So [F] _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _
_ we kind of got when it goes back to the D minor it's on an upstroke so let's work out this rhythm here
We got down down down down [G] up
[Am] _ down down down down [C] up
_ down down down
[Dm] _ _
up up down down up down _ _
_ _ [Em] _ [Dm] _ _ And [G] _
[F] _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ [Dm] _
_ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ [Am] _
_ [C] _ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ [F] _
_ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
[F] _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ [Em] _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
[F] _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[F] _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _
[G] _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[F] _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [F] _ _ [C] _ _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ _ it's a little interlude you can take this D minor chord
_ _ _ Kind of the same strumming pattern and slide it up a whole step and just avoid the low E and the A string
And other than that you're working it
_ _ [Em] You _ _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [Dm] _
_ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
could add your pinky down on that same thing that you were doing with the D chord and then you got it _ [Dm] so
Yeah, that's that's really it _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [C#m] So hopefully that was helpful to you
