What's going on guys?
Okay, what I'm gonna do in this lesson is teach a song if you're just learning guitar
We're gonna play trading my sorrows
We're gonna break it down in four parts to give you four different levels to go to
Hopefully by this point, [G] you know, the four chords that I always use in most of the songs G C E minor
D now, you'll notice I go G C E minor D G C E minor
That's how I kind of think of my head up high a little bit lower over down a pie a little bit lower over down
So that's kind of what it is on your head
We four different parts to it and this will help you progress
Because again strumming is the hardest thing so I thought I would do this lesson to help on the strumming the first stage
Again, the four chords G C [D] E minor D.
Make sure you memorize that so you're not having to think about it
You just know [E] G C E minor D
The first stage you were playing just two down strums [G] go pretty slow as you sing you play the four chords
[D]
[G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
[Dm] I'm trading
And [G]
[D]
[G] [D] once you feel pretty [E] comfortable with that we're gonna go to part two [G] on this one you'll go down down up and switch
So it's going to run the chords a little together to get a little bit more make the song flow a little better
so it's
All
[D]
[G] [Dm]
[G] right, [D]
[G] there's part two so the first one is just two down strums the second one is down down up switch
[D] Okay
The third part we're getting a little more advanced here [Fm] we're going to do a palm mute
You can do this on the verses, but it's best on that.
Yes, the Lord.
Yes that whole part.
So [G] again
What I'm doing is taking that outside of my hand here outside of my palm
Lightly putting it on the strings
You can do that mute as I play the chords again, this is getting more advanced
This is after you get the first two parts down
So get your same four chords.
We're doing that second part the down down up and then switch while palm muting
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G] So
You get that got part one
The two down strums and switch part two down down up switch
Part [D] [G]
three the down down up, but you're also palm muting
[D] [G]
You
The next [E] thing and the last thing this is getting a little pretty fancy there if you're a beginner
[D] After you play the D once
You're going to hammer on the [A] fifth string second [B] fret
[A] so remember a hammer on makes two sounds in one note, so [B] it's
Then get on [D] the fourth [E] string
And hammer on it also [G] second fret and then play third and start over so it goes
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
You
Notice when [D] I get that D.
I'm just playing it once instead of doing the down up strum.
I'm replacing [A] it with it
[D] [G] [D]
[G] And then the key to playing the guitar is combining all that so sometimes you do a couple strums sometimes down up
sometimes blowing the
[D] [G] And then you only a super fancy and make sure you're playing the chords chain the chords properly you can pick none through there
[D]
[G] [D]
[G] [D]
[G]
[D] [G] [C] [G] [D]
[G] [C] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [G] I
So hope this helps you guys
Break it down know [Ab] your first four chords your GC minor D
And then walk through those steps and hopefully this song could help you
Improve your praise and worship and have you play the guitar?
In no time have a great day guys.
God bless you
