He's cited [Bm] his number one musical [Gbm] influence as being Lil Wayne, and even before watching
any of his interviews or looking into his background at all, I could already [Em] see that
Wayne had a big influence [A] on his lyrics.
Like this [B] one line from No [D] Chorus Part 4, plug on the phone, call him Texaco.
[G] That cryptic [Gbm] and clever wordplay is really reminiscent of some Lil Wayne type lyrics,
and also pretty impressive for somebody as young as Choppa to have that kind of wit behind his bars.
[Bm] What makes it even [D] more impressive is that he only started taking music seriously one
[G] year ago, and only really [A] started rapping two years ago.
[G] [Gbm] So this dude is either like an industry plant, or he's just born to be a [G] rapper, has crazy
[A] natural talent, and is extremely [G] lucky to be in the [Gb] right place at the right [D] time to
blow up as [A] quickly as he did.
[Dm] His [G] first [A] song was called No Love Anthem, and was released in 2018, [B] and right now it's
sitting at just under 200,000 views on YouTube [Em] at the time of making this [A] video.
If you look [Bm] closely, you'll notice that he was going by the name YNR Choppa at the time
of the release, and YNR stands for Young and [Gbm] Ruthless.
He later changed it to NLE, which stands for No Love Entertainment.
Basically he's [E] just doing the [Bm] same sort of thing as YBN, by putting the group name in
front of his [Gbm] rap alias.
Anyway, after he released a few more [G] songs, including Shotta Flow and Shotta [Gbm] Flow [Em] Part
2, some [Bm] top tier record labels like Interscope and Republic reportedly started a bidding
[Em] war [Gbm] trying to get Choppa to sign with them.
Choppa declined a $3 million deal, [D] and instead signed with United Masters, which is an independent
record label run by [Em] Steve Stout.
He signed with this label because they allow him the ability to keep his rights to the
master recordings and his publishing.

to turn down a $3 million deal in exchange for sole ownership of his intellectual property.

I pulled up this piano preset in [G] Nexus, and I'm going to lay down a dark, bouncy [Gbm] melody

and fill up space in the mix.
