And God said, and [G] God divided the light from the darkness, and God [D] called the light day,

_ _ And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the [Bm] waters, and let it divide

And the evening and the morning [D] were the third day.
_ And God [G] said, let there be light in the firmament of [Bm] the heaven to divide the day from the [Em] night,
and let them be for signs and for [C] seasons and for days and years, [G] and let them be for
light in the firmament [Bm] of the heaven to give light upon the [Em] earth, and it was so.
And God [C] made the great light, the greater light, [D] to rule the day, and the lesser light
[G] to rule the [D] night, he made the [Em] stars also.
_ _ [Am] And God set them in the [D] firmament of the heaven to give light [C] upon the earth and to rule [Am] _ over
the day and over the [D] night and to divide the light from the [G] darkness, and [D] God saw that
[Em] it was good. _

And God said, let the waters [Bm] bring forth _
[C] abundantly the [D] moving creature that hath [G] life and fowl
that may [Bm] fly above [C] the earth in the [D] open firmament of [G] heaven.
And God [Bm] created great whales and [C] every living creature that [D] moveth in which the [G] waters brought
forth _ [Bm] abundantly after [C] their kind and [D] every winged fowl after [C] his _ kind, [D] and God saw that

every creeping thing and beast of the [G] earth after his [D] kind, and it was so.
_ And God made the beast [Em] of the earth after his kind and cattle [C] after their kind and everything
that creepeth [G] upon the earth after his kind, and [D] God saw that it was good.
_ [C] And God said, let us make man in our image after [G] our likeness and let them have dominion
over [C] the fish of the sea and over the fowl of [G] the air and over the cattle and [Em] over all
the earth and [D] over every creeping thing [C] that creepeth upon the earth. _ _
