And you're going to be [B] sharing Holy is the Lord.
Before you play it, why don't you [G] just tell us a bit about the story [B] behind the song.
Yeah, I was [C#] _ _ at home as usual with [A] my guitar on my couch.
_ I had Isaiah [F#] 6 [C#] open [C#m] looking at that.
I've always been [Am] intrigued by that little passage there.
It says the angels called back to one another,
_ [A] _ and they _ _ said, [G#] Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God [A] Almighty.
The whole earth is filled with His glory.
So I just started singing it back and forth, [D] just that simple chorus. _
_ Holy [A] is the Lord _ _ God _ _ _ [E] Almighty.
[F#m] The earth is filled with His [E] glory.
_ And it came [A] just that fast.
And I was [E] with Louis a couple [A] [G] days after that and I was [C#m] like,
Louis, I [A] think this [E] song here, I don't know what, but I felt in my heart there was something special to it.
There was something there.
_ But I needed something more.
I didn't have anything that went with it.
[A] And I said, [G#] do you have any [A#] ideas?
Louis [A] usually has some ideas for songs.
I always kind of write something in his journal.
And he [E] just said, well, I have these thoughts [G] _ [G#] that I've been really sitting with [G] in Nehemiah.
[E] I want you to share that.
[A#] And we've been looking at this passage in [Em] Nehemiah.
And after Israel came back and [E] rebuilt the wall in the city,
_ they gathered [C] all the people [A#m] together and they built this wooden tower.
And [E] Ezra, the scribe, stood on it and opened up the Word of the Lord.
_ And Nehemiah, the way it's written, it says,
And when he [C] opened the Word of [E] the Lord, the people stood, and he praised God.
And they lifted their hands to God in praise.
And then they bowed [A#m] down with [E] their faces to the ground.
_ [A#] And it's interesting how those [C#] two [F#m] postures of worship [E] came rushing together.
[B] I've got my Bible [C] open and I'm reading through [D] this passage.
And [A] Chris and I are [C] just reading it section [E] by section by section.
And he's over there furiously writing in his journal and stuff.
And [Em] I had my journal open and [D] I just had this phrase sort of been [C#] resounding in my heart.

It's rising up all around.
It's the anthem of the Lord's renown.
And that's what passion is all about.
_ And I said, I just feel this _ refrain.
It's just coming.
And [C#] he's over there [E]
furiously _ _ writing all that down.
And so I'm exhausted.
And I said, okay, [A] I'm going to bed.
And I [E] think you stayed up the rest of the [C] night or something and boom, you know.
I just put it [D] all together.

Just the G over B is probably the [A] only _ _ interesting chord.
Just moving [C#] your middle finger.

_ _ _ When [A#] the chorus [A] starts, it gives it a bit of a [Am] better bass note.
[G#] Instead [A] of, _ Lord God Almighty, it would be the normal thing. _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [A] The only tricky little thing is on [E] the bridge.
