Welcome to Eric Blackmon [C] Music
[A#] [E]
Hi and welcome to my tutorial
Today I'm going to teach you a [D#m] little bit of blues from Muddy Waters
Hoochie Coochie Man
The guitar is tuned standard E A D G B E
[A] And we're going to start with a riff that sounds like this
[Em]
I got a boy, Todd's coming
[D] He's gonna be a son of a gun
[A] [G]
[A]
We'll be repeating that riff through the verses
We'll start here on the 3rd fret on the A string
And we're going to [F#] stripe that string and bend it down
[C#m] Like that
[C] Open it up [D] to a D
[G] 2nd fret [E] D string
Back to [F#] the A string, [C] 3rd fret C
And then [A] open A So [C] that's
[E] [A]
That will [N] go on through the verses
Next we'll do the chorus which will sound like this
[C] [A] What's this all about?
[E] Ok now to get out of the verses into the [A] chorus
We'll do that [A#] last riff
[A] Do an open A and then strum
An A7 chord
So it'll sound like this
[D] [A]
[G#] So that's our riff
Down up, down up, down up, down
And then we'll go to the next part
Which is going to sound like this
What's this all about?
[D] [Am]
We're [A]
[Em]
[D]
[C]
going to do that twice
We'll start here on the A string, 5th fret
[D] Hit that twice
[E] Then we'll go to the [G] 3rd fret D [F] string
The [F#] 4th fret
And then up to the 7th fret and stripe it [A] twice
And
[Dm] then we'll go [C] to the G string, 5th fret
Like that
Hit it with some emphasis
[D]
So here's that riff again
[F#m] [D]
[E] [C]
[N] And then we'll do a second riff that goes like [A] this
[G] [A] [C#]
[G] Which we'll also do twice
We're starting on the low E string, 5th fret [A] twice
A [C#] string, 4th fret
[E] 7th fret
And then to [G] the D string, 5th fret
So [C#] that's
[Em] [C#] [E] [G]
[Em] [E] [F#]
[A]
[A] [E] [F#m]
We'll follow that with an E9 [G#] chord
And a D9 [F#] chord
[G#] And we'll play them this way
[Am]
[G#] That's down up, down up, down up, [F#] down up
Down up, down up, down up, down up
After that, we'll go back to the low E string, 5th fret
Play it [A] twice
Then [F#] go to the A string, [C#] 4th fret
[D] 5th fret
[D#] 6th fret
[E] 7th fret
Just once
And [G#] then we'll go back to the 4th fret and do this
So [E]
that was
4, 5, 6, 7, 7
[C] And then we'll go back into our main riff
[D] [A]
Now all we have left is [N] the ending
And the ending will sound like [F#] this
And the ending will sound [A] like this
[C#] [G#]
For the ending, we'll repeat our riff that we [A] learned earlier
[C#]
[D#] [E] [D] And then we'll go to a D chord
And that's holding down the D, G, and B string at the 7th fret
And then end on an [C] A7
[C#] For this A7, I'm going to bar fret 5 from the D string [C] down
And [F#] then bring in a finger to the 6th fret on the G [C#] string
And that's my ending chord
That's an A7
And [N] [A] [C#]
[E] that's the Hoochie Coochie Man on electric guitar
Thanks for stopping by
And have a great day
