HOW TO PLAY - Frank Ocean - Pink + White [Blond] (Piano Tutorial) chords
Start Jamming...
Hello guys, this is AmosDollMusic and in today's lesson I want to teach you how to play the
new Frank Ocean song Pink and White.
The part I'm going to teach you is the very awesome catchy part in the background, it's
the piano part in the [C] background that loops around the whole song.
So let's give you a preview of what you're going to learn today.
It's actually very short, but it goes like this, here's a preview.
[Bm]
[A]
[C] [Bm]
[A]
So that's what you're going to learn, it loops around throughout pretty much the whole song.
[C] Later on I'll teach you how to make it more bouncy and more like
[Bm]
[A]
Yeah, [Em] more like that, more like the song.
But we'll learn the basics first because we'll learn the right hand melody and the left hand
chords first for the song before we get to that.
So it's really easy, what happens here, on the right hand we start on the B up here,
so let's check if we can feel the B, yep we can.
So middle C is here, C and then B.
So it goes B, G, and then [Bm] A, F sharp, and then it goes
F sharp, D, [Gm] and then here is 8 [C] Es, okay?
1, 2, [A#] 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Okay, just like that.
That's it for pretty much the whole song, the piano loop.
Okay, you can enjoy playing with that and rap behind it if you want, or like sing it as well.
So let's go ahead and do it [B] again, so it goes B, G, and [Bm] then A, F sharp, and then F sharp,
D, and then 8 Es, [F#m] remember that.
1, 2, [E] 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Okay, so remember to count it, okay?
Okay, so that's it for the right hand for [C] this awesome piano riff, and then the left
hand, the chords is these.
Three chords, it's looped for an infinity amount of times if you want, so it's C major
7, C, E, G, B, these four notes, and then the next chord is B [Bm] minor 7, which is B, D,
F sharp, A, and then the last chord is A major 7, which is [A] this.
A, [C#m] C sharp, E, G sharp, it gives that really dreamy sound for the whole progression, you
can hear the song.
So these are the three chords, once again, [B] it's, you're gonna do it up here, [C] same thing
as C major 7, followed by B [D] major 7, followed by A [A] major 7.
[C#m] Very nice, right?
And you just hold that for a longer amount of time.
[A] Okay, if you're a music producer or something, you can use those three chords and just make
the loop and make a remix of it if you want, but yeah, let's go from there.
If you're a singer, you can just use these three chords and sing over pretty much the whole song.
[C] So it's C major [Bm] 7, B minor [A] 7, and A major 7.
Remember these three chords.
Okay, for singers you can stop right here, but for people who just want to play that
[C] riff together, hands together, let's go on and learn how to put the two hands together.
So B and C major 7 together, it goes
Yeah, and the next chord, A and B minor 7 [D] together, like that.
And then F sharp, E.
First E, with A major 7 together, and then you commence the [A] 8th years together.
So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, like that.
That's it, okay?
Pretty [B] easy, right?
Okay, let's do it again.
So, [C] together, [Bm] and then together, and [A]
then
Just like that.
Okay, [E] so once you get this basic version, it's more important to get the groove of it
because this kind of like goes differently when just playing the chord.
It doesn't sound as nice.
So what you can do is, you [C] can be like
So we like
This is like low, high, low, like that.
Okay, so we start with the bass, it's like
And then you can do it
And then like, you can do like, same [B] [Bm]
[A] thing
Just like that.
Based on the chords, it's pretty much all the notes that we learn, but it's just how
we alter it and also like, put it together.
Okay, so we can just do it like that.
It makes it more like groovy as well.
And the ease at the end is actually in between the notes, like
It's kind of like triplet-y feel, that kind of feel.
Like, even though it's not, but it's nice like that.
[C] Okay, [B] so
[Bm]
[A]
[C] [B] [Bm]
[A] Yeah, have fun with it.
It's very fun, just [C#m] do whatever you want.
You can even make it like really like, kind of like
Smooth, [C] I guess.
Sad.
[Bm]
[A]
Yeah, something like that.
Have fun with it, it's all the same thing, all the same notes and melody,
just adding extra stuff to have fun, that's my method.
If you want to learn how to do all this advanced stuff,
like all this improvisational stuff that I do with my covers,
I pretty much make up all the stuff right on the spot as you see in my covers.
Like, people ask like,
oh, can you give me the exact [E] notes of that on sheet music?
I can, I can write it out, but that obviously costs money and also costs time,
because like, it takes a long time to write it out.
But for my covers, I just make it up on [N] the spot,
based on the thing I just taught you, the most basic form.
Right hand melody, left hand chords, just like that.
Okay, so for my cover, I can even show you, okay?
So for my cover, I just like, wrote down this like, really like, simple
Simple like
Okay, so what at the top is saying the melody, right?
And then at the bottom is like, chords.
It's just like, jot some notes down, and that's it for the whole cover.
I'm just making up stuff, making up stuff right on the spot,
based on this like, really easy kind of thing.
So it's like this, that's my method.
And if you want to learn about it, I guess you can go do my courses,
and that's how I work, I guess.
And like, I also teach classical like, classical like, piano,
like, examination stuff, but that's sheet music stuff, so
Anyone can like, learn sheet music.
And yeah, okay, if you're interested in it, go ahead and check it out.
If you're not, just doesn't matter, just learn this tutorial,
and have fun with all my other tutorials,
you'll learn exactly what notes to play.
I teach you exactly what notes to play anyway.
And yeah, go ahead and I guess, enjoy your time on my channel,
and I guess, see you next time.
