by Frank Ocean.
So your basic chord progression for your verses and for your pre-chorus is going to go as
follows in the right [Am] hand.
[G] [Em]
[F] [Am]
[G] [Em]
[F] [Am] Those are A [G] minor, G [Em] major, E minor, [F] and then F major.
[N] Then when you get to the pre-chorus, it's like right before Frank Ocean says, I'm going
to drive until the road runs out or five more miles, whatever, something like that.
Your right hand is going to switch up a little bit.
[Dm] It's going to go, [Em] [Am] [G]
[Dm] [Em] [F]
[G] [Am] and then when you get to that chord, you're in the chorus.
[Gm]
So with that in mind, your left hand for the verses, just the basic verse part that I showed
you first is going to go as follows.
[A] [G]
[E] [F]
Putting those two parts together, this is your basic verse backing track.
[Am] [G]
[Em] [F]
[Am] [G]
[Em] [F]
[Am] Then when you get to the pre-chorus, your chords are going to go as follows [D] in the left hand.
[E] [A]
[G] [D] [E] [F]
[G] [A] And again, when you hit here, that's when you're in the chorus.
[Eb] So then your pre-chorus is going to go as follows.
[Dm]
[Em] [Am] [G]
[Dm] [Em] [F] [G]
[Am] That's your verse and pre-chorus backing track.
So keep in mind that the left hand is going to sound a little high since I've compressed
it into this view.
It should [Abm] be an octave that way.
Your chords in the right hand for the chorus are going to be the same chords, just different
inversions from what I just showed you, the basic verse backing track.
With that in mind, they are as follows, and you keep hitting them this time.
That's where it's different.
[Am] [G] This is where it gets [Em] different.
[F]
So [Am] you're playing first inversion of [G] A minor and G major, but then [Em] you switch to the second
inversion of [F] E minor and F major.
[Eb] And with that, your left hand is going [A] to stay the same.
[G]
[Em] [Fm] So [Ab] putting those two together, this is your chorus backing track.
[Am]
[G] [Em]
[F] [Am]
[G] [Em]
[F] [Am]
[D] And then, Frank Ocean's vocal line from the chorus is going to go as follows.
[E] [C] [D]
[E] [F] [E] [Ab]
[E] [Cm]
[Am] [D] [Am]
[N] Putting that together with the left hand, you should get something like this for your chorus.
[Am] [D] [G]
[C] [Am] [F]
[Am] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [A]
And there you [Am] have it.
Swim Good by Frank Ocean.
[G]
[Em] [F]
[Am] [G]
[Em] [F] [Dm]
[Em] [Am] [G]
[Dm] [Em] [F] [G]
[Am] [G]
[Em] [F]
[Am] [G]
[Em] [F]
[Am] [G]
[E] [F]
[A] [Am] [C]
[E] [Am] [F]
[Am] [D]
[A] [D] [Gb] [E] [A]
