Hi, I'm Dodo and I am going to teach you how to play on piano Frank Ocean's song
Thinking About You.
[G] If you'd like to watch my cover first then [Eb] click here or
click the link [Am] from the description.
Now let's get down to business.
[N]
First of all
you should know that you are playing two different chord progressions for the
verses and you will have to play them two times with the difference that the
second time you are playing the first chord progression one particular note
change.
I am going to play them then explain [F] it.
[Dm] [Em]
[Am] This was the first chord progression.
Now the second one.
[F]
[Em] [Eb]
[Dm]
The first progression again.
[Em] [A]
This is a different note.
I'm going to explain you [F] later.
Thinking about you, [Em] do you think about [Eb] me still?
Do [Dm] you, do you?
The second chord progression remains the same.
So for the first chord [F] you have to play
with the left hand an F and with the right hand an A minor chord.
A C E.
[Dm] The second chord.
G with the left hand and F A C with the right hand.
[Em] The third chord from the first progression.
E with the left hand G major
chord with the right hand.
G B and D.
And the last chord from the first [B] progression
is a simple A minor [Am] chord.
So A with the left hand A C E.
[G] Now the second progression.
The first chord [Gb] remains the same as in the first [F] one.
Southern California.
So F and A minor.
[Em] Much like Arizona.
This is the second chord from the
second progression.
An E with the left hand and a G B and D with the right hand.
[Eb]
This is the third chord of the second progression [Eb] in which you have to play with the left hand
an E flat and with the right hand an E flat G B flat and D.
[N] And the fourth chord.
[Dm] [Dm] With the left hand you're playing a G and with the right hand an F A C.
So F major chord.
[F]
Now you repeat the first chord progression.
Oh no no no I've been [Em] thinking about you until now.
Because the fourth chord change.
You have to [A] play instead of the A minor chord you're playing an A major chord.
No no no.
So instead of [Db] C you're playing a C sharp.
[A] No no no.
And again the second chord progression.
[F] [Em]
[Eb] [Dm]
For the refrain.
The first chord is the last chord that you are playing for the verse.
So the D and the F A C.
[C]
The second chord of the refrain is a C with the left hand and an E G C with the right hand.
The third chord is [G] a G major chord.
So G with the left hand and G B D with the right hand.
And the last chord [Am]
the A minor chord.
So the refrain consists of those four chords
[A] and you have to repeat them four times.
[Dm] The first one.
[C] The second chord.
[G] [Am]
[Dm] [C]
[G] [Am] And now the last time.
[Dm] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] Now for the second verse you're playing exactly the same as for the first one.
[Dm] [Em]
[Am] [F]
[Em] [Eb]
[Dm] [F]
[Dm] Oh no no no [Em] I've been thinking about you.
[A] Don't forget about the major chord.
The difference with the C sharp instead of C.
[F] I've been thinking about you.
Do [Em] you think about me [Eb] still?
To you [Dm] to you.
And again the refrain.
[Em]

chord with the right hand.

second progression.
No no no.

[A] No no no.

[F] [Em]
