Chords for How to play How Long Blues

[A] _ _ _ _ _ Hey, I want to do a little video on instruction on how to play a how long blues.
And this is something I've been working on for many years.
I came up with this version probably 35 years ago.
And so I've had a lot of practice doing it [C#] and I've kind of nailed it down note for note.
And what I'm starting [A] off with here is a 7th position which [E] is if you played it here would be a D7.
_ _ [D] _ But I'm moving it up to [E] here and making it an A7.
[A] _ _ And that's kind of a key [G#m] that Robert [C] Johnson used a lot and he [E] used tricks like this.
So what I'm doing first here is [A] _ changing this into a [D#] diminished form.
[A] By moving these three strings down and keeping this string the same.

_ _ _ [F#] Okay, the next thing I'm going to the 4 chord which is a D7.
And I'm playing [G#] my thumb on this [F#] string to get a [F#] 4.
_ _ _ _ Now one thing you notice [C#] too is that I've got my wrist heavily [G] implanted right here on the bass strings.
And that gives me that nice thumping sound because I'm really getting on these bass strings when I'm doing it.
It gives me that blues feel.
