[D] Jason [A] Bolan and the Stragglers had a big year in 2010.
[D] This [E] band is one of the biggest draws in the scene because their live [A] show is just so solid.
It's no wonder why their [Em] live album High in the Rockies was so well received.
[G] [A]
[G] We always do a Bob [Bm] Childers, Randy Crouch tune on each album.
[Bm] [C] This was a Bob Childers, Randy [G] Crouch, and Lael Stagner tune all in one.
Some good mentors and [A] friends from up in [G] Oklahoma.
It's a great tune and it fit for us and fit this record.
That [C] song, wasn't it specifically written about a band?
Didn't [E] Childers have somebody [Am] in mind?
I don't know.
I [C] can't remember who, but [Am] obviously it wasn't as [D] autobiographical as people might think it is.
[G] I can't remember who he had in mind.
Maybe [D] Woody Guthrie in [Am] the spirit of a couple of other older bands, but [G] I don't know.
We've never seen it [Am] as such a divisive thing.
[C] [G] Where you [D] come from is [Am] just a [C] statement.
[F] I don't think it was too much of a flag in the ground.
[G] Everybody [C] has always known [D] where [G] we're from and [A] several of the other [G] bands in this scene.
[C] It's just a [D] big geographic region [G] and [D] there's pickers from all [C] over it.
Just [D] as long as you're from [G] Tornado Alley.

[G] [Am]
[G] [C]
[G] Back in the 60s when things were [Am] strange, everybody saying they're ready for [G] change.
Out in the country in the heart of the [Am] land, said the restless kid, he tore his [G] hand.
They had him a vision and he had him a [Am] dream.
Things around here ain't quite like they [G] seem.
[Am]
[G] He followed his vision, set out on a [Am] quest to find a way of life that suited him [G] best.
He found him some lovers who had the [Am] same dreams, all of them lonely.
[A] Somehow, [G] team, they were an outlaw band from Oklahoma.
[Am] Rolling through the night like the summer [C] thunder and the rain.
[D] It will [Em] wash us clean.
[A]
[C] Yeah, the [D] rain, it will [Em] wash us clean.
[G] [Am]
[G] [Am]
[G] They played a party in the back road, [Am] boys, scratching up gravel and shooting at [G] stars.
They know who they are and they know what they [Am] did.
Striking up lightning and keeping it [Gm] here.
They were an outlaw band from [Am] Oklahoma.
Rolling through the night like the summer [C] thunder and the rain.
[D] It will [Em] wash us clean.
[C] Yeah, the [D] rain, it will [E] wash us clean.
[G] [Am]
[Gm] [Am]
[G] [Am]
[G] [Gm] [Am]
[G] Oh, you're trying to scream about the way it could [Am] be.
Pick up your axe, get on the bus with [G] me.
We'll play for the ones who never give [Am] up.
They'll still be dancing when the sun comes [G] up.
They were an outlaw band from [A] Oklahoma.
Rolling through [Am] the night like the summer [C] thunder and the rain.
[D] It will [Em] wash us clean.
[C] Oh, the rain, [D] it will [E] wash us clean.
