Which we just heard nights in white satin etc.
Etc today the moody blues right here in our studio.
Excuse me
I've just I've hit your guitar.
I apologize
John and Justin will be inducted into the rock walk of fame.
You guys must be excited.
Yes, of [Ab] course
An honor is this like the quintessential moment?
You've been in the business 25 years
Is this what you've been waiting for this one?
Well, I suppose it comes close.
[Eb] Yeah putting your hands in some cement.
Yeah
No, I think it's great.
I think it's great.
And we're joining an exclusive club
This is very true now
I have to thank you guys because you were responsible for my very first job in college
You guys came in to you're on tour
You came to Northern Michigan University and they needed security guards and I tried out and I got to wear a yellow hat and I
Was a security guard for you guys
Actually, I kept like two whole fans away from me.
They were trying to rush the stage
It was a small college, [Ab] but you guys were fabulous big fans.
Yes, and we've been five and following your career
25 years long time in the business.
Tell me what has been the most vital time
Do you think to be in the music industry for that long?
What was the most profound time in this?
Most profound time I suppose really it has to [G] be this sort of what people consider the Golden Age really of the 60s You know
and it was a fantastic time for us as
Really just young guys getting [Gb] together and making our own music [Abm] and finding our own [Gb] way in the world
And [G] it was looking back now, of course, you realize what a great time it was to be doing it
all the musicians knew all the [Gb] others and it was kind of like a
You know a club and a kind [E] of brotherhood and it's great
Does it feel like you'll never see an era like that again?
Was it really once in a lifetime?
I think for for us I think when you start something
It's always the the great time to be there, but you know, it always belongs to a new generation, you know
So so it's up to everyone else, but you're still part of this generation.
You have a new CD collection coming out called time-traveler
very funky [Gm] guys
Yeah
Almost psychedelic.
Oh and you are also at 10 o'clock today.
You're gonna be at Tower Records playing 10 o'clock tonight
Yes, you're gonna be playing for fans.
Yeah
Live acoustic cassette.
Yeah, great.
And then if you want to see you perform in person on October 1st and 2nd, you'll be at [Ab] the Universal
[Eb] Hollywood Bowl, yes
[N] Los Angeles Philharmonic, oh boy, that'll be phenomenal.
And can we ask you to play one more song for sure?
What will it be?
This is a song from an [F] album?
Long time [G] ago, which is called in search of the lost cord and this is called the actor
Wonderful.
Thank you for being here for playing for us.
Good.
The LA will be back after this
