Great musicians as Alan, Mike and Julie, it's really because of the Moody Blues and um Moody Blues?
The best kind of incarnation of the Moody Blues I've been in, I've been in a few.
I think for me, Joan and Brian, it's [D#] certainly the happiest
[F] but [N] it was normal.
And just when in the early 70s when it seemed [F#] like everything
[F] was wonderful from the [A] outside, our [G] first album Days of Future Past was coming [F] up,
The Chancers were recorded and released actually in [E] November the 11th, [N]
1967.
It [F] finally got to the top of the charts in [N] 1922.
I wish it would have happened again.
Yeah!
Release it!
But we [F#m] had another album, we were making another album, Seven Sojourn, putting our efforts into [N] it.
But also within the band, [C] people were rising in influence and power, other people [F] were
diminishing and it was resolved I suppose about five years after that when Theo Mike Pinder [N] and
the rest of the band were carried on in the 80s.
[Fm] [F#]
[A] I suppose that I feel that [N] we didn't do enough in that time.
It would have been amazing but that's the way things are just when it's getting good, you know,
kick it down the street.
Again!
That's the way it is [F] with a lot of groups, you see from the inside but it always looks great
from the outside.
But anyway I'd like to look back at a couple of songs from that era of my own
and thankfully Alan, Julie and Mike have helped me do that.
[N] And the first one of these is called The Man in the Moon.
