[C]
I've recorded some of my songs and some songs that I've played over the years.
This is a song that I learned, gosh, probably in 1979 from a really wonderful acoustic player
who lives in Rockport, Texas, named John Gromado.
And John used to be one of the regulars at a little club that we all played in Houston
called Anderson Fair.
Anderson Fair Retail Restaurant is the name of the place.
And back when I first started playing there in 1978, Lucinda Williams did Thursday Nights.
Thursday Nights was sort of your entry level spot.
And I would get to open, entry, entry level was getting to open for the Thursday Nights.
I'd get to open for Lucinda occasionally on [F] Thursday Nights.
This is a song that John Gromado taught me.
It's an old blues song.
The earliest version of this song that I've ever seen was recorded by a man named William Moore. In 1928.
