[E] This bothered me because I [Bb] would notice that during the low periods of [C] my life when I was suffering from
[Fm] _ [G] Anguish sorrow or [E] defeat I could [F] see only one [Dbm] set of footprints _
So I said to the Lord you promised [E] me Lord that if [Eb] I followed [Cm] you you would you would [Bb] walk with me
with me always
[E] I have noticed that during the most trying [Ab] periods of my life
There has only been one set of footprints in the sand why? _ _
[F] Why when I needed you the most?

And I'd look at the congregation
And I'd say these words before I preached every Sunday I
