Hi everyone, we're back for episode two of Songs from Home, live from my kitchen.
I have to say right off the bat, I was absolutely stunned.
I was floored.
I was humbled beyond words.
I was [D] astonished by the responses to the first song.
Thank you all so much for listening, for tuning in, for taking the time to tell me your thoughts
and your feelings.
And believe me, I read every single post and there were quite a few and I'm just so glad
[Eb] that everyone wants and needs [Dm] this feeling of connection.
And somehow, somehow, music can do a little bit of that [Eb] in this big world.
So we're back to sing another song.
This is a song I wrote a few years ago and I had the great honor of having James Taylor
sing and play on this song.
I still don't know how that was able to happen, but one of the [E] greatest moments of my life
was when I heard his part of it.
So thank you James, [D] out there in [Eb] the world.
[Fm] It's called Soul [Eb] Companion and I [E] tweaked the lyric just a bit, made it a plural because
these days we are all in this together and I'm sending this out to so many people, not just one.
So, Soul [Eb] Companion.
