I'm Tim and this [G] is the story of my life.
I have cerebral [Em] palsy.
I was born three months premature.
I've been in the hospital numerous times.
[B] Cerebral palsy is [D] a neurological disconnect between [Bm] the brain and the [G] muscles.
And [E] it makes my muscles [A] very tight.
And I have to spend a long time fighting my muscles.
It crosses my mind one way or another that when I go out on the football field,
when I go watch baseball, I honestly can't do that.
[D] And [C] yeah, okay, I wish I could do that.
[Em] But I'm here for a greater [G] purpose.
Besides my love for baseball, which will always be my bread and butter,
I work with [C] [G] my high school football team [G] as a chaplain motivator
to see how much God is using me to affect the lives of special around people in the hospital.
[Em] Since I want to be a hospital chaplain,
[B] and God has given me the platform [G] and the experience to be [D] able and [E] help people
[Em] through that difficult time in their lives.
Well, the biggest thing I have to remember is it's not in my time, I mean, but God's time.
[C] Mike, I think about it, [D]
you're playing a game of cards [C] with God,
and [G] he selects the cards and gives you the cards for a reason.
You just have to figure out how to play them.
You may have a bunch of aces, you may have some other stuff you'd rather not have.
But [G] in God's game, you just can't say, I quit.
You lose if you just say, I quit.
What's the fun in that?
That's why I try to do impact in [Em]
such a way that when I [G] get up to heaven,
God will say, [D] well done, good and faithful servant.
[Am]
[Em] [G]
[D] [Am]
[Em] Once upon a [G] time, life was so innocent.
[D] Somewhere [D] along the line, [Am] your smile came and [Em] went.
They made you feel [G] like you just don't measure [D] up.
They tried to steal your [Am] life, but you are a treasure [C] of, [G]
maker [G] of the [C] stars.
[A] Star.
[G] You don't have to wonder, you are wonderfully made.
Perfectly beautiful and never away.
Wonderful, wonderful name.
You're anything but simple, cool is true.
They ain't seen anybody quite like you.
[C]
God never made some [Am] mistake.
You [E] are wonderful, wonderful [Em] name.
John 9, 1 through 3, [G]
the disciples will see a blind [D] man on the side of the road,
[C] and they ask Jesus why he [G] was born blind.
Was it something his parents did, or did he [D] do something to cause this?
And Jesus [E] says, no, he was born blind so [Em] that my glory could be shown [G] through him.
Some things you try to [D] fix, but love has one thing to [Am] say.
It's perfect just the way it [C] is, yeah.
[C] [D] Oh, just the way it [C] is, yeah.
[A] Yeah.
[G] You don't have to wonder, you are wonderfully made.
Perfectly beautiful and never away.
[C] [G] You're wonderful, wonderful name.
You're anything but simple, cool is true.
They ain't seen anybody quite like you.
[C] God never made [E] some mistake.
You are wonderful, wonderful [Em] name.
[C]
So [G] the world can see [D] the works of God [Em] on this day.
[C]
So let [G] your doubts and your fears and [F] your questions fade [C] away.
Just let them fade away.
[D] God used [G] me in ways that I never thought possible because of what I've gone through.
Human nature tells us to quit.
But you can either [Am] choose to quit or have [G] fun with the things you can't change.
You don't have to wonder, you are wonderfully made.
Perfectly beautiful and never away.
[C]
[Bm] You're [G] wonderful, wonderful name.
You're anything but simple, cool is true.
They ain't seen anybody quite like you.
[C]
God never made [A] some mistake.
[Am] You [E] are wonderful, wonderful name.
[Em] Could you have a greater [G] impact on someone the way that you [D] are right now
or [C] the way you dream of being?
[Em] God has made [G] every detail of you [D] for a reason.
You just have to figure [C] out why.
What an [D] inspiring, inspiring young man, rising above his circumstances
and realizing that he's here for a greater purpose.
[B] Tim's story reminded me [F#] that when God created us, [D] he did not make a mistake.
