[Abm] Hey [Ab] everyone, this is Michael Sweet and I [Eb] am very, very excited to be sharing with you
my brand new album, One-Sided [Ab] One.
[Abm]
[Ab]
[B]
[Ab]
[E] I [C] think that this album [B] is definitely the heaviest solo album [Ab] that I've done.
It's rock slash hard rock slash metal, [B] but at the same time it's very different than Striper.
It's an opportunity for [Ab] me to branch out and try [E] different things with the arrangements.
I brought in some different musicians, Joe Hoekstra, John O'Boyle, the [Eb] bass player, unbelievable,
Will Hunt, Ethan Brosh.
We have the heartache, [B]
[Ab] we only do [Eb] who we are.
We could move mountains [B] and do anything, [Bb] we just get back [B]
[Ab] to the start.
He's one of [E] these guys that were always at the top of their game and he just never lost [Gbm] it.
I live and breathe [Eb] that kind of music 24 [F]-7.
[Gb] And for me to just be even a small part of [E] something that has to do with it is very special to me.
I love solos, I love music with high-pitched vocals and melodies and whatnot, [Bb] but I also
like [A] to combine it with a [Ab] modern day production.
[E]
[B] [Ab]
The thing that I always want [Eb] to achieve with any album is always to encourage people and
get something out of it, be moved by it, be touched by it.
Music is in my heart, it's [Ebm] part of my life.
[B] [Eb]
[B]
[Ab] [Dbm]
Well, the song Radio is about [Db] guys that are rock and roll dudes that go to Nashville and
try to become country guys.
That's the [D] biggest selling [Eb] music on the planet right now, aside from hip-hop and pop, [Db] country.
I'm with an axel, play guitar with an old [E] train.
[Db]
Stretching the boundaries a little bit, musically, lyrically, and the video.
So, I [B] think it's going to show people a [Dbm] little bit more of a comical side, [B] a little bit more
of a humorous side of what I'm doing when I do solo [A] stuff.
I like to have fun.
And [Dbm] we're going to go, you're the one I'm going to [E] make, [B] let it roar [A] to you.
Shooting [Dbm] the video for Radio was a unique [E] experience.
It's definitely the [B] strangest video shoot I've ever, ever [E] been a part of.
Joel is an [Dbm] old school guy in the sense that he's [Em] bringing back [B] those guitar solos of old
that [Am] make people's heads spin.
[Dbm] But he's also, he has a modern approach.
[Db] [Ab] Michael and I actually go back to my time in Night [Db] Ranger.
We opened for him when he was playing with Boston.
Ever since then, we've just [Dbm] kind of been collaborating.
And this is sort of the natural evolution in getting to play on a few songs on his upcoming solo album.
[B] [Ebm] There's a song in my heart [Ab] and in my mind [E] constantly.
That's [Ab] never going to go away.
[C] It's the way I feel God [Eb] created me and I love sharing that with the [Ab] world.
