[A] [N] Hello!
How are you today?
Good to see you.
Okay, I don't know what I'm doing, but I guess
I'm [E] demonstrating a little bit the RoboTalk, the AC Boost, and the RC Boost.
Now, probably
of the three, just because of the type of music [Gbm] that I make for the [Db] most part, [N]
my favorites
would tend to be the RoboTalk and the RC Boost.
But the AC Boost is equally as fantastic.
Now, let's just go with that a little bit.
Not since the, I guess it was the late 70s
or mid 70s and early 80s, there was a pedal called the Mutron.
It was a really great pedal,
a really great envelope filter, and a lot of times it was a great sounding unit.
And
not since then have I heard a pedal that sounded as warm and analog as that since the RoboTalk.
And it's very, very cool.
And there's a real cool thing, well, it does obviously the filter
type of thing.
[G] You
[D] [G]
[A] [G] can adjust the range obviously of the filter.
[E] [G] [D] [E]
[G]
[Dm] [G] [Am]
[A]
[Em] [N] Now, that's only half the story, which is a good thing because it also does what you
might call kind of like a filter sample hold type of thing when it's in the random arpeggiator mode.
[D] [Dm] [D]
[Em] Now, [G] [N] when you do this type of thing, it sounds better to me.
If you accentuate the high frequencies,
as opposed to the low ones.
But that's just me because sometimes it [D] gets a little muddy.
[Dm] [F]
[Dm]
[C] Now, what sounds really cool is when you match the tempo [N] of the arpeggiation with like an
in-time delay.
Okay, [Eb] we have a quarter note [N] delay, let's say.
[D]
[Ab]
[G] So now, when we put that
in the arpeggiation mode, in time [F] of the delay, it kind of like this.
[Dm]
[F]
[Dm] [Gm] [D] So it's kind of cool
to like [Eb] experiment with some things like that.
Okay, so [D] in a nutshell, that's the RoboTalk.
Of course, I just kind of touched the surface,
scratched the surface.
There are many, many possibilities that you can get out of the
pedal.
It's only limited to your imagination and the price of admission.
