Hello, as a request, in this video I'm just going to show my guitarist friends, [E] whether
they be beginners or even the advanced players, [Eb] some simple shop music riffs that you all
could probably add to your mix and then I will break them down note for note, you know,
as [Eb] best I can.
Thank you.
Let me adjust this camera [N] to my fingerboard right now.
[B]
Can you
all see this?
[N]
Okay, that looks like I got it right there.
I'm [Eb] going to do this in C
sharp.
You all [Bb] could do it in any key [Am] that you would like to do it in, so [G] I'm just going
to go ahead and do this in C sharp and I hope you all could [B] catch on to it as easily as
I did.
[Em]
[B] [Bm] [Db]
It's [Gb] pretty simple.
I'm just going to [Bb] start, it's in C sharp, so I'm going to
strike the E first [G] and [Bm] then once I strike my E, I'll go to, I'll go back to my B flat
to A flat, [Eb] then back to [Bm] C sharp and start it all over again.
Then I got some [B] other variations
of this [Eb] that I'll show you as I go [Bb] along.
Okay, here we go.
[Gb] I kind of slowed it down
because [Eb] you could, you know, as you [E] learn it, you can just speed it up as fast as you
want [G] to.
You know, some churches, they really got their shop music going 100 [D] miles an hour
and some of them got it, you know, going [Bb] 55 miles an hour, so, you know, just do it to
your liking.
And then the other, the second variance of this little riff, I'll take and
[B]
I'll go from, I'll go, I'll strike the [B] E and [Ab] then I'll strike the B and then take B back
to, [E] I'll take the B back to, I'll go,
[Eb] you hear the variance in there?
[B] I'll go B back
to A flat.
I'll go E, B, and then I'll go A [E] flat and I'll just speed it up a little
more [Bb] as I go along.
I'll [E] go, and then [Gb] I'll just add a little slide to it like when I'm
getting ready to finish and I'll go.
[Gb] That's just a little something I, you know, I like
to throw in there too.
And then another variance I [B] like to do is [G] I'll take and I'll, in the
same, I'm still in C sharp, [N] I'll go from, I'll slide from E [Gb] flat to E and then I'll
go, I'll slide from E [G] flat to E [B] and then I will do the B flat on the [Gm] 11th fret [Eb] to the
A flat on the 9th [E] fret as I [Eb] did in the first little riff.
So [B] it sounds a little something
like this.
I'll go,
[Eb] [E]
[Eb] [G] and that's basically it.
I mean, you all, I hope you all can pick
up on that [Eb] and that's just a little something that I wanted to share with you [G] guys out there.
Like I said, whether you advanced or whether you're a beginner [Gb] or whatever, but I hope
that'll help you all out, man, so you all can get, [B] help the church get their praise
on.
