I first saw Simon and Garfunkel down in San Diego at the Civic Auditorium when they were
new then and they were popular but they weren't big, big, big stars.
And I was surprised that they would come out with just a stool and one microphone and one light
and they performed for like two hours.
And I keep thinking of things having to be, you know, lights going off and dancers and singers.
And the sound I thought was kind of funny at the beginning but you get very used to the fact that it's just a guitar
and two voices and then you become mesmerized by just that lack of things going on.
It's just the concentration of them together and it was absolutely wonderful.
And so when they were on my show I was hoping that I could sing a song with them and we picked Scarborough Fair.
And [Eb] again singing with my brothers made it [Db] very easy to blend in [Eb] with it.
