[A] [N] Hi, this is Eddie Collins.
Today I would like to show you how to play
Stairway to Heaven on the mandolin.
I chose to play it on guitar first so you'd recognize the [Ab] sound.
Listen how the [Am] notes
are left ringing.
That's hard [N] to do on the mandolin.
So what we'll do is strike a chord on the first beat as we play the rest of the notes and
try to leave as [Am] many notes ringing as possible.

[Gm]
[A] So [N] that's the secret.
Many other versions on the internet people are just playing a [Am] single note.
[E] And those are the correct notes, but as you can hear there's [F] no sustain to them.
So now I will play the entire song, the first two parts, and I'll have the [Am] tab
scrolling below so you can see how it's played.
