Well, this [N] is Tahitian Ukulele.
I am Victor Jofre, owner of Azono.com and one of the craftsmen
of the workshop.
We are just two persons in the workshop.
Me and my assistant, we began
making Tahitian Ukuleles like 2005, after a trip that I made to Easter Island and I just
fell in love with this instrument I saw.
This instrument comes from Tahiti, but the Easter
Islanders, the people from Rapa Nui play awesome and it's part of his culture.
And I learned
with the Rapa Nui, with the Rapa family.
And then I began to construct.
I used to make
drums before and it's really [Am] similar to a drum.
The E string and the C sounds really
loud because it's tuned with high C and high E.
[G]
[C] G, C, [Am] E, A.
[C] You know, high C and high E.
And in that way you can play the same chords, but with the center, central chords, with the C and E,
you are singing.
For example, you make C, but you sing with the central strings.
[F]
[G] [C] You can make the
Polynesian, South Polynesian people making normally in C.
And in that way you can strum in C,
like this, and play.
You can strum and [F] make a melody at the same time.
But the interesting
thing is that this concept you can make, you can use in any, in F for example, in any chord.

[C] This ukulele in special is from South Chilean Mahogany.
It's Lingue, but we call it
Mahogany.
It's the same wood as Mahogany, with laurel assembled.
