Tony McManus concert part 2 chords
Start Jamming...
So I started out with two [C] Quebecois tunes.
[Gb] The first time I came [G] here was back in 1998.
I recorded an album up the road in Joliet,
for no very good reason whatsoever.
[D] And when I came back with the album done, everyone said,
Why Quebec?
So [C] then I called the album Pourquoi Quebec?
[D] [G] And on the site it said Pourquoi [D] pas?
So the album was engineered [G] by my good buddy André Marchand,
who wrote that first tune, and he's from [D] Joliet.
[F] His family's been there for [C] generations, he still lives there.
[D]
[A] [Ab] So Javier wrote a tune called [C] Exile, I don't know, but [Gm] he did.
[D] And then the second tune was [E] an old fiddle tune
called Le Rêve de Quai Tu [D] Tremblais,
from André Allain.
And then a piece from Swag Syberil, a friend of mine from Brittany,
called Sandisan, which is an old Breton word meaning Too Many Notes.
It's a slightly more sedate tune.
This is a [Dm] reel from Ireland, a tune called The Maids [D] of Midgelstone.
Any questions?
[C] I spend a lot of time teaching, and sometimes I have trouble
[D] switching from one mode to the other.
So if you have [Gm] questions, fire away.
That may well [D] be necessary.
