_ _ _ _ Hello, Marty Schwartz here at GuitarJams.com.
_ [Em] What's up you guys?
Hope you're doing well.
I'm going to teach you this [Gb] tune right now.
It's a [G] fun one because it's not that hard.
It's really just power chords.
_ A little tiny little bridge thing but really it's not too bad.
_ I've got [D] a bunch of cool stuff that I give out.
You can click the link below this box.
It's down there and check it out.
I appreciate that but let's get to the riff.
Here we go.
All right, the riff starts. _
It's pretty much all power chords and I'm going to play it this way.
_ Fifth fret on the A, _ _ seventh on the D and seventh on the G.
We [D] play that power chord _ and _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
we're going to go like this.
Between the five and the seventh fret, that power chord is going to slide back and forth
and we go. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ It's [E] boom, boom, boom.
_ _ [A] Boom, [E] boom, boom.
We [B] start with that.
[E] _ _ _
_ _ _ Then it goes back again.
[D] We've got [E] _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _
_ [Bb] the do, da, da, do, da, da.
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [E] _ _ _ [D] _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ _ _ Then one more time but just one [B] each. _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ Then _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ [Dm] _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ we're going to [A] move our power chord _ _ to the fifth fret on the E.
Five, _ seven, seven
and _ _ we're going to go _ five, _ four, three.
[Dm] Watch. _ _ _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [B] Five, five, [Eb] five, five, four, [A] three. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ [B] We put some distortion on. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
[B] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ [E] _ _ [Gb] _ Now, let's see.
_ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
There's just this little pentatonic lick that goes on underneath _ the second time around
in the verse.
It's just right here on the twelfth fret. _ _ _ _
_ I've got some trippy delay going but really it's like twelve from the high E to the B.
[B] _
_ _ _ [Bm] _ Then just like pentatonic scale right there between the fifteen and the twelve. _ _
_ [B] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Bm] _ _ _ Also, the chorus [Bb] _ _ is [E] just distorted and it's _ E power chord _ [D] _
to D power chord, _ _ _ [Gm] G power chord,
_ third fret on the low E.
_ _ _ [A] _ _ That's it.
That's the chorus.
Da, da, [D] da, da, da, da, _ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ [E] da.
_ _ [D] _
_ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ [B] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ [Gm] _ _ [B] _ Okay?
_ _ That's really all there is and there's a [A] bridge.
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [E] Really, kind of what's going on, the bass is [A] going _ _ just _ _ a pedaling is what you call
that on an A note or an open A. _ _
That way you can with the open A, you can point out to the audience.
_ _ _ _ _ [E] Kip Winger was the master of the one-handed bass pedal.
Okay, _ _ so _ _ _ [B] it's the D string and the G string on the second fret pulled [D] off.
_ _ [B] That's a real power chord.
[D] _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ You just pull it off _ [A] to _ _ [D] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Eb] a D [A] chord, so _ [D] back _ _ [B] to an A power chord.
_ _ _ _ [D] _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [B] _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ [B] _ _
_ All [Eb] right, that was the lesson.
I hope that was helpful.
Remember, I always [N] have a bunch of cool extra stuff that I can give to you through the link
below this box.
Otherwise, hopefully, _ _ I'll see you in another lesson real soon.
Take care. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
