[G] Ready?
Yeah, I'm ready.
Y'all ready?
Speeding?
Come on.
Oh, you can go.

[G]
[C] Well, we [G] were on the road a lot over the last year and a half, so I feel like most of the songs on the new record [C] were not [G] written on the road, but maybe like all that sort of songwriting energy built up.
[C]
[G] Oh man, even less time, never let these times [C] ever
[G] When we come home and we actually finally have time to sit down and let it all out, that's when most of the songs [D] came [Em] about.
[C]
[G] Just sitting on [C] a pillow.
[G] Yeah, and I think it is that idea of home and the many, many different ways that that can kind of hit you, you know what I mean?
Like, I mean, home can be an idea of a place or just how you feel with a certain person, or just, you know, when you're surrounded by your friends.
And I think that all those elements are present in this record.
You and I [C] were just passing through.

I think sewing, I guess, is something that inspires me [D] creatively besides music, and it's something [Em] I don't really get to do [C]
more [D] on the road.
[G] Music is something [C] you create on a daily basis, [G] and it's only really when you go into the studio that you get to come out with something tangible or see a product afterward.
Whereas with sewing, you're physically creating things the whole time, so it's very different and kind of satisfying in a different [C] way.
[G] Someday I'll hop along and ride it home.
[C] [D] Gold [Em] ties and pain [C] [G] will never [C] leave alone.
When we're at home, I have a lot [G] of time spent in the studio and wanting to record.
It's really nice to get involved with other people's projects and kind of feel, I guess, feel the energy going into other projects.
I think it sometimes fuels our own projects.
