Start Jamming...
It's similar to a regular guitar and really [D#] incredibly different at the same time.
[B] I didn't know I was going to be on camera so she's a little [F] dusty.
So you have, this is [Bm] the resonator in here [F] and you can kind of see like,
[Cm] it looks like a speaker cone kind of in there and that's the actual resonator.
And [D] that's [C] what's inside of this.
And [A#] because of that, I mean it was created to be louder than a regular [F] guitar.
[G] So it was, you know, it came out in the 30s as a way of sort of competing [F#] with horns
and big bands and stuff [C] just to be louder than a regular guitar.
Sort of pre -amplification which is pretty cool.
The [B] byproduct of that though is that it has more sustain [F] than a regular guitar like so.
[F#]
[A#] [Gm]
So you can play those long notes, you know, which is what I love about the instrument.
It's like an electric guitar of acoustic guitars.
And the [G] strings are higher off the fret.
You can kind of see that, see how they're that far off.
And so you don't actually, you don't actually ever touch the frets.
You just, this little steel bar becomes the frets.
[E]
[Gm] [C] You know, so that's kind of the [E] workings of it.

Can't [E] remember [B] 206 [A] again
Still I can't [E] recall how [B] fast [A] I was driving
[E] Didn't wake [A] up feeling scared
[E] Cause you're the one [D] I love and you're [A] standing there
Can't [E] touch my heart, it's not [A] my time
Bust my [E] bones and lay my body [A] on the line
I'm [E] not [A] living all alone
[E] These wounds are mine to [A] set me free
[D] Hope arms don't tear down
[E] Let them stand proud until they fall to [A] the ground

This whole bizarre [E]
ballet that I've [A] lived through
I'm [E]
[A] not looking on [E] the scale
Cause you're the one I love and you're [A] standing there

Boy I've [E] raised to take [A] care of things when I go
[E] I'm not [A] looking on the scale
[E] Cause you're the one I [D] love and you're [A] standing there
[D] Hope arms don't tear down
[E] Let them stand proud until they fall to [A] the ground
I've [Am]
got [F] children, [C] I've got things, things are getting out [Am] of hand
And there's nothing [F] for the woman [C] left, except
