Hello, here [Ab] is a tutorial at [C] last some will say for the Beatles when I'm 64 from Sgt Pepper
Very nice song to play and I can understand everybody right as me asking for the tutorial.
This is the way I do it
Capo onto the first fret and I'm going [F] to show you the intro
[C] How to do a verse because all the [F] verses are the same and the bridge
All right, so
[Db]
C actually [Ab] with the G in the bass
[Db]
3 3 3 2 open 1 open
[Cm] Okay, because the strum you're more or less going to be [Gb] doing that country sort of [Db] standard
6 from
[Gb] To an F
[Ab] G7
[Db] back to the C
[Ebm] Then I do a quick F major 7 to [Db] C
[Ab] Even I think it's G7 [Ebm] back to C
But I always do F [Eb] major 7 because [C] I just do I don't know why it's where my fingers go
so [Db] anyway
C
[Gb]
[Ab] F
[Db] G7 C
You can do that little run into the verse if you like
[Ab] So just while you're on the G over the C [F] then just [Bb] open up the fifth
[C] second fret on the [Db] fifth and
Then into the verse
And I get older losing my hair many years
[Ab]
Strum a G and then what you can do here on the second string.
That's what I like to do
[C] Do that little bit there, which is just open [Db] second first onto the [Ebm] second
onto the third [Ab] fret on the second [Db] back to the first fret on the [C] second and
open second
Then go to G7
[Ab] Do you still be sending me a Valentine?
And what I like to do here is come back for like you're gonna play a G, [Fm] but just on the top
bottom [Ab] two strings
[G]
Birthday greetings whatever lyrics
Birthday greetings
[Ab] Six fifth fourth and then the third finger that comes up onto the third fret of the fourth tings
Then make a [Gb] C shape
And then just play [Db] the fifth fourth third second
bottle of wine
[Ab] So you get
Birthday [Db] greetings bottle of wine
Just nice rather than [Ab] just playing a G back to a C
Birthday greetings [Db] bottle of wine
If I've been out there a quarter to three back to the C there then to a C7
Would you like to
[Gb]
Into an F.
I'd recommend a full bar or F there because [A] then you're gonna come up to a
A flat which [Cm] is you know just a bar chord on the [A] fourth fret
Back [Db] to a C
[Bb]
A7
[Eb] [Bb]
D7
[Ab] 60 [Db] G7
Oh
[Ebm] If [Ab] major seven back to the C
[C] She said it back to the C.
So that's the verse.
I'll just do it once through slowly for you
[Db] When I get older
Losing my hair
many
Years from [Ab] now
Will you still [Ab] be sending me a Valentine?
Birthday [Db] greetings bottle of wine
If I've been out till four to three, would you knock [Gb] the door?
You still [A] feed [Bb]
me [Eb] when [Ab] I'm 60
[Db]
All [C] right, so that is how you play the verse and there's three verses in the song and it's how you play each one of them obviously
[Bm] now the only other part you're gonna need is that little bridge [Bbm] that sort of
[Bbm] Every summer we can dance a cottage in the aisle of [Ab] wine
Both those parts use the same chords, which is a minor
[Ab] G
[Bbm]
Shall scrimp just strumming a minor there [F] and set to an E7
Just a one strum on the E7 there
[Bbm]
to a minor
[Ebm] Children on to a D minor there.
Oh, you're me
[F] [Gb]
[Ab] G7
[Db]
[Ab] See back to [Fm] the G and then you can run out of the [Eb] bridge on that that little [Ab] back into your [Ebm] first again
[Db]
Stayed in
Point [Ab] of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
You're sincerely [Db]
wasting away
Give me your answer fill in the form
mine forever [Gb] more
[A] Birds will leave me [Bb] you're still free
[Ab] 60
[Db]
[Ab] Anyway, so that's [Fm] it.
I think you can put the whole [B] song together from those parts
[C] All right, I'll leave
Very nice song to play and I can understand everybody right as me asking for the tutorial.
