This one's a great song from the early 80s

I've never really seen anybody else playing this song
It's just the way I [N] sort of figured out to play it for myself one day
So I thought I'd show you
If you want to add or take stuff away from or do whatever you like with it take it and go with [C] it _
This is the way that I [G] play the intro

So I'll just [E] show you how I'm kind of [F] strumming it as well.

I'm gonna hit [A] the fifth and the fourth _ _
[E] _ and then [Am] _ down up down up on the sort of the top three strings

on the [E] E minor I'm gonna hit the open E string and then two down [Em] strokes _ _ _
Sort of muted down strokes. _ _ _

[F] If you can thumb _ the _ _ bass note _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ It's a bit easier

use the fourth string as your bass note

_ _ [B] So the general rule of thumb [F] is to hit a bass and then the [G] second note and [Am] then a down up down [F] up

I'm not quite hitting [F] exactly the right notes every single [Ab] time as you can see
It's pretty hard [G] to to get it right exactly the whole time and sing.
