Hey [C] everyone, welcome back!
I hope you're all doing well and I [E] hope you're excited because today's lesson is going to be [Dm] Let Her Go by Passenger.
[C] This song has probably been [A#] the most highly [F#] requested song or [Em] tutorial that I've had [Dm] in the [C] longest time.
It's just been crazy how [D] many of you guys requested [F#] this song, so I'm really excited to bring it [D] to you today.
And if it [C] sounds like my voice is going out, that's because [A#] it is.
I was congested [Em] over the weekend.
[Gm] I'm [C] recording like four [G] videos today in a row and that probably does not help me at [C] all.
But if I want to have stuff [G] done for you guys this week, I've got to do it [D] all today because I'm going to be busy.
But [G] anyways, back [Em] into the tutorial.
I have [D] two different versions for you guys to choose from.
[E] I have a non-capo version and I [G] have a capo version.
[Bm] So if you want to put [Em] your capo on the fretboard, [C] then [D] the 7th [Bm] fret here, [Em] essentially both versions are going to be [C] in the same key.
They're going to sound [D] the same, but if you [Em] place the capo on the [C] 7th fret here, [D] then it's going to [Bm] kind of give it a little bit of a higher [E] tone.
It's really, really pretty.
[C] It's going to be kind of a tighter squeeze [D] up here, but it just sounds really nice and [Em] that's how I'm going to play it.
[C] The chords will be different [D] for each version.
I [B] actually have them on this handy [Em]-dandy Post-It note right here on my [C] guitar.
So if you're going to [D] play it on [D] the 7th fret here, [C] your chords are going to be A minor, [G] F, G, and C.
[D] And then if you play it [Em] without the capo, you're going to be playing the [C] chord E minor, [G] C, D, and B minor.
Because [D] I'm going to be playing the capo [G] version of this song and maybe [C] you want to play the non-capo [G] version,
the A minor [D] will change to E minor, the [Em] F will change to C, [C] the G will change to D, and [G] the C will change to B [D] minor.
That's how that's going to work.
And there are barre chords [Em] in both versions, so you can't [C] escape the barre chords.
[D] So, choose [Bm] your fates, my wisest.
[E] If you don't know how to build any of these [C] chords that I just [D] mentioned, don't fret.
Everything is going to be okay, folks.
Just [E] check down below in the [C] description box.
I have links to each [D] separate chord tutorial so you [B] can study them up.
Come on back [Em] and learn how to play Lover Go.
[C] Alright, so I'm just going to break this song up [D] into a few simple and easy sections.
I'm going to go ahead and start off by playing [C] the intro, which is [G] actually the chorus, [D] but the chorus comes in [Em] at the beginning of the song.
And then I'm going to go [C] ahead and go into [G] the verse and then into the chorus [D] again.
With all that being said, and without further ado, [C] let's go ahead and [G] get started!
Only [D] know you're in love when [Em] you miss him all
Only [C] know you're in love when you let her go
[G]
Only knew that burning [G] love
Only miss [D] the sun when it's
[Em] [C]
[G] [D]
Only [C] know you when you feel [G] alone
Only hate the [D] road when [Em] you
Only [C] know you
[G]
[D]
And you let her [Em] go
[C]
[D]
[Bm] [Em]
[C] [D]
[Em] Staring at the bottom [C] of the glass
[Em]
Staring at the bottom [C] of your glass
[D] Hoping one day you'll make [Bm] a dream last
But dreams [C] come slow
[D] [Bm]
[Em]
[C] [D]
[Em]
Staring at the bottom [C] of the glass
[D] Hoping one day you'll make a [Bm] dream last
But dreams [Em] come slow
And it flows [G] so fast
[D]
[Em] You see it when you close [C] your eyes
[D] Maybe one day you'll [Bm] understand why
But then [Em] you just watch all [G] of it [D] pass
And you [C] only need the light when it's [D] burning low
But you [C] only need the light when it's burning [G] low
Only miss [D] the sun when it starts to [Em] snow
[G] Only know you
And [D]
you only [C] need the light when it's [G] burning low
[D] Only miss the sun when it's snow
[Em] [G] Only know you
[D]
Only know [C] you've been high when you're [G] feeling low
[D] Only hate the road when you're missing [Em] home
[C] Only know you love when you let her [G] go
[D]
And you let her [Em] go
[C]
[D]
[Em] Staring at the [C] bottom of the glass
And at the end [Dm] of this tutorial
I hope [Em] that you found it super easy and fun [D] to learn from
