I'm going to show you Let It Rise as recorded by William Murphy.
This is a really, really fun song to play.
It's very, rather simple.
It doesn't have many chords in it at all.
It basically has just one chorus and that's it.
So the song itself is not complex.
There aren't very many chords and there are actually several tutorials out there that
show you the basic chords for it.
I'm going to show you how to play basic chords, but I'm going to make you sound really, really
good doing it.
_ I'm just going to show you a lot of little tricks that you can do while playing this
song to make you sound really, really good and dynamic.
So the key of the song is in G.

[G] has _ one sharp, [F#] which is F sharp. _ _

That might have [N] sounded real hard and real busy and real complex as [Gm] far as chords, but
it really wasn't.
I'm going to try and break it down for you [G] as much as I can, show you all the tricks
and have you playing this song like a professional in no time.
Okay, we're in the key of G, left hand.
_ Let the glory of the Lord rise among us.
That part right there is where we're at.
Left hand is going to be on G and [D] let's add this fifth.
It's called the fifth because it's the fifth note from [A] G.
One, two, three, four, five.
[G] So we're playing the one, the first [D] note, and the fifth.
[G] Right hand, your basic chord is going to be a G major chord, G, B, D, but we're going
to do a couple things here that really embellish this one chord.
We're going to add this A. _

Now the second chord in this phrase, let the glory [A] of the Lord, I'm not doing anything
else other than moving this B to C.
I've seen [C] tutorials where people want to take you to
a C major chord.
_ No, let's [G] keep it right here at this, we're going to keep it right here around G major
and we're just going to move this [A] B up to C.
Okay?
So now your note should be G, A, C, D.
_ Go back to the first one, move this B back down
to [G] C.
Okay?

_ [G] _ _ _ [A] _ _ And this song, [Gm] _ [N] it has really, because it doesn't have a whole lot of chords in it, different
chords, you have to play the same chords very rhythmically with the rhythm to kind
of help the song to progress.
So instead [G] of playing, glory of the Lord, _ rise among us.
You have to kind of play it like this.

Okay?
[A#] So we've learned that first part.
All we're doing [Gm] is moving this one finger [C] from C to B back to C.
Every other finger, [D] the G, the D, the G, the A, the D, they all stay the same.
This [C] middle finger is just moved from here. _

I'm kind of walking my fingers up as [N] well, just to kind of give it again, a different
dynamic so it's not sounding the same.

an octave down here.
It's kind of out of the camera view, but know that I'm playing an octave down from this
and then [G] you're going to play G.
This is the G is the fifth note up from C.
C is one, [E] two, [F] three, four, five.
C and G, again, I'm just playing fifth.
The [G] right hand, we were right here, G, A, B, and D.
The G _ _ is going to stay right here.
The [Em] rest of these fingers are going to move over to the right one white key. _
