Hey YouTube, today I'm going to show you 6 or 7 4 chord songs, which are cool.
So the chords you're going to need for this [Bb] are G, [F] D, [Eb] [Gm] E minor [Gb] and [Eb] C.
[N] Okay so you may see me playing different versions of those chords, but for example [F] instead of
D I could play Dsus4, [N] which kind of sounds the same but not, but it doesn't matter because
you can put different versions of these chords into the songs and it still sounds cool.
So I'll put in boxes around my head the different versions I would [Eb] use.
So instead of C I could use Cadd9, [Ebm] instead [Gm] of E minor I could use E minor 7, [F] and instead
of D, Dsus4.
And if you [N] notice, Cadd9, E minor 7 and Dsus4, your two little fingers stay on the 3rd fret,
1st and 2nd string all the way through.
So if you're a beginner I recommend using the alternative versions.
But you know, stick [G] them in boxes around my head, it'll be cool.
Okay so the first chord, the [N] first song I'm going to show you is I'm Yours by Jason Mraz
and he has a capo on 4th but I can't be asked to shift it.
So right, the chord pattern for this all the way through [Bb] is G, [F] D, [Gm] E minor and [Eb] then C.
[B] So G, D, E minor, C.
[Bb] All for 4 beats.
1, 2, [F] 3, 4, 2, 2, [Gm] 3, 4, 3, [Eb] 2, 3, 4, 4, 2, 3, [C] 4.
And [Fm] the rhythm you can [Bm] do for this is down, down, up, up, down, [D] up.
And you play that rhythm [Bb] twice for each chord.
So down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up, [F] up, down, up, down, up, up, [E] down, up,
and we get [Ab] the hang of it.
So, or [Bb] you can kind of like put a different rhythm in, it sounds like this.
[C]
Sorry, this capo is very interesting.
[N] So what you do then is you down strum twice and then you use the side of [B] your hand to
hit the strings to make like kind of smacking sounds.
So you got down, down, hit, down, hit.
[Bb] So down, down, hit, down, hit, down, down, hit, [N] down, hit.
You play that twice for each of the chords.
[Bb] Well, you don't know me, but I felt [F] it.
I tried to reach you, yeah, so hard that I [N] melted.
And it goes on.
OK, the next one I'm going to show you is Viva La Vida by Coldplay.
They have a capo on 1, once again, can't be helped to shift it.
And the chord pattern all the way through [Eb] is C, [F] D, [Bb] G, [Gm] and E minor.
[N] So C, D, G, E minor.
Once again, all of those for four beats.
Can do the same rhythm, down, down, up, up, down, up.
Or you know how their strings kind of go da, da, da, da, da.
[Eb] They kind of do the
[F]
[Bb] [Gm] [Em] You can kind of [Gb] like simulate that with down strums [Eb] because it's not hard.
[E] [Eb] I used to [F] run away.
[Bb] See the rise when I [Cm] get here.
Sorry, this capo is actually [N] driving me insane, but it was only like three quid, that's it.
I don't know what those in dollars are.
OK, next one I'm going to show you is Year 3000 by Busted.
Or Jonas Brothers, depends where you're from.
I'm English, so I think it's Busted.
So, anyways, so you have a capo on three.
There are three different chord patterns.
Three different chord patterns to this.
The first one is the intro.
So what you do is you have two [Bb] Gs, [N] beats one and two.
Then nothing for three, four.
Two [F] Ds for one and two.
[N] Three, four.
And then you have two Cs for [G] one, two.
[C] Then three, [Bb] four.
Then you have G for two [F] and then D for two.
[Bb] So you've got one, two, [F] three, four.
Two, two, three, [Eb] four.
Three, [Bb] two, three, four.
One, [F] two, three, [N] four.
And that goes on all the way through the intro and the verse.
Then you have the bridge, which is the bit that goes,
He told me he built a time machine.
[Bb] And this is G for [F] four.
Then D for [Gm] four.
Then C add nine for four.
C add [Bb] nine for four.
So, [F] one, two, three, four.
Two, [Gm] two, three, four.
Three, two, three, four.
Four, two, three, [Bb] four.
He told me he built a time [Eb] machine.
Like one in a flume with C.
[B] And that's down, down, up, down, down, up, down.
[Bb] The chord pattern for the chorus is G, [F] D, [Gm] [F] C, [Bb] D.
He said I've been [F] to the air [Cm] green.
[F] The [Bb] mountains [F] change but the river's [Bb] the water.
OK, next one I'm going to show you is How to Save a Life by The Fray.
Cool song.
Two chord patterns as well, so very nice.
Capo on three.
Chord patterns G, [F] [Gm] D, E minor, [F] and D.
[Bb] Each of those for four beats.
One, two, [F] three, four.
Two, two, [Gm] three, four.
Three, two, [F] three, four.
Four, two, [Cm] three, four.
[G] And once again, down, down, up, up, down, up.
And that's the same for all of the verse.
Then you've got the chorus, which starts, Where did I go wrong?
[Eb] Chord pattern for that is C, [F] D, [Gm] E minor.
All of them for four beats.
[F] And then [Bb] you have [F] G for two and D for two.
Then that [Eb] repeats.
One, two, [F] three, four.
Two, two, [Gm] three, four.
Three, two, [Bb] three, four.
[F] One, two, three, four.
And again, [Eb] one, two, three, [F] four.
Two, two, three, [Gm] four.
Three, two, three, [Bb] four.
One, [F] two, three, four.
[B] Back to the intro.
[N] OK, next song we're going to do is Tiny Life by Green Day.
They don't have a capo.
Three different chord patterns for this one.
So the chord patterns even you [Bb] need, the first one is G, then G, [Gm] then C add 9 [F] and D plus 4.
So you can do G, C, D, but [Ab] most people generally do G, C add 9, [Bb] D plus 4.
So that's G, G, [C] C, D.
[Gb] All for four beats with the [Bm] starting pattern down, down, up, [Bb] up, down, up.
[Gm]
[F] [N] Also picking, but if you watch my tutorial I've done for that one, then I'll go through picking as well.
So that goes twice, then you [F] have the next bit which [Gm] goes E minor, [F] D, [Eb]
C, [Bb] G.
[C] So E minor, D, C, G.
Play that one twice.
[Db] Then the next [Gm] bit goes E minor, G, E minor, G, E minor, [F] [Bb] D, G.
[C] [Gm] [Bb] It's
Unpredictable, [Gm] but [Bb] in the end it's right.
[Gm] I'll [F] have the time [Bb] of your [C] life.
And that goes around.
[Bm] Okay, what [N] have I not done?
Okay, the next song I'm going to do is the chorus to Poker Face.
Only the chorus because the [C] rest of it has B minor and F in and we [Fm] don't like barre chords.
[B] But I have done a tutorial for that.
Poker Face [Ab] chorus is G, [Eb] D, [Fm] E minor [Db] and C.
[Ab] [Eb]
[Fm] [Db]
[Ab] [Eb]
[Fm] My Poker Face, [Db] she ain't got me lovin' on [B] body.
Okay, the final [N] song I'm going to do is Teardrops on My Guitar by Taylor Swift.
Cool song, I have to say, not particularly familiar with it, but it's got the four chords I want in.
So, three chord patterns.
You have the one for [B] the intro, verse, solo and [Bb] outro.
This is G, [Gm] E [Eb] minor, C [F] and D.
Once again, [E] all four beats with the typical [G] down, up, up, down, [Bb] up.
[Gm] [N] Okay, you can do whichever rhythm you want for that.
Then you've got the pre-chorus which is the bit that goes, I bet she's beautiful.
And the chord [Gm] pattern for that is
[D] Is very bad English.
The chord pattern for that is [Gm] E minor, C, [Bb] G [F] and D.
[Gm] I bet she's beautiful.
[Eb]
[Bb] Don't [F] know the words.
[Bb] Then you've got the chorus and the chord pattern for this is G, [F] D,
[Gm] E minor and [Eb] C.
[B] Okay, so
[N] That's all the songs, which is cool.
I mean, there are more, like millions more.
But, anyways, so please check out my other tutorials,
because I will have done all of these, hopefully, in a lot more detail.
But please comment, please rate, please subscribe,
and please request, and yeah.
Have a nice life.
