Hi [B] everybody, it's [G] Lindsay and welcome to this video.
Today I'm going to be showing you guys a tutorial
where only four chords can make 15 or more different songs.
The first chord you [F#] need is a C chord, which is the [D#] third fret of the first string.
[C]
After [G#m] that you're going to need a G chord,
[C#] which is the second fret of the third and first [G] strings and the third [E] fret of the second [G] string.
[B] If this shape is hard to [G] make for you, try semi-barring the second fret and then adding your
third [Em] finger to the third fret of the [G] second string like this.
[E] After that you need an A minor, which is just the second fret of the fourth string.
[Am] [B] And finally an F chord, which is [F] adding it to this first fret of the second string like this.
[N] The strumming pattern we're going to be using is down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up, up, down, up.
The chord progression is the same way as we [C] learned it.
C,
[G] [Am] G, A minor, [F] F.
[N] For every song.
With the strumming pattern it should sound like [C] this.
[G]
[Am] [F]
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
Most [N] of the songs that I'm showing you today, the chords change every [C] one beat like this.
1, 2, 3, [G] 4, 1, 2, 3, [Am] 4, 1, 2, 3, [F] 4, 1, 2, 3.
[F#] And then a couple of the songs you [F] can see that they [B] change every two beats like this.
[C]
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, [G] 8.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, [Am] 8.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, [F] 8.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
[N] Now that we know the chords, strumming pattern, and chord progression,
I'll show you the songs that [F] you can play using this pattern.
[C] The [G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[G] small town [Am] girl, living [F] in a lonely [C]
world.
[G] She took the midnight train [Am]
going [F] anywhere.
[C]
[G] City [Am] boy, born and [F] raised in South [C] Detroit.
[G] Took the midnight [Am] train going [F] anywhere.
[C]
I won't [G]

This is [F] our fate, I'm [C]
yours.
[G]
[Am]
[F] What
[C]
do you think [G] you are?
I don't [Am] even scars.
Closing your [F] jar of hearts.
Tearing [C] love apart.
You're gonna [G] catch a cold.
Put me inside [Am] your soul.
So don't come [F] back for me.
Who do you think [C] you are?
Forever [G] young.
I [Am] wanna be forever [F] young.
[C] Do you really [G] wanna live [Am]
forever?
[F] Forever?
Then [C] never [G] take [Am] on me.
[F] [C]
[G] [Am] Take me on.
[F] [C]
[G] [Am] Take on.
[F] [C] If [G] it's too late now, [Am] say sorry.
[F]
Cause [C] I'm [G] missing more than just [Am] your body.
[F] Ba-ba-da [C]-da-da-da.
You get [G] off on your nine-to [Am]-five.
The range you pick [F] advances and trophy [C]-wise.
I know I'm never gonna [G] be, cause I don't [Am] wanna be.
I don't wanna [F] sit still, look [C] pretty.
For the [G] girl with the broken [Am] smile.
Ask her if she [F] wants to stay a while.
[C] And she will, [G] will love.
[Am] She will, [F] will [C] love.
Hey, [G] soul sister.
[Am] Hey, that [F] mister mister on [C] the radio.
[G] Stereo, [Am] the way you move ain't [F] fair, you [C] know.
Hey, [G] soul sister.
[Am] I don't [F] wanna miss a [C] single thing you [G] do.
[Am] [F]
[C] And in my [G] hour of darkness, she [Am] is standing there [F] in front of [C] me.
Speaking [G] words of wisdom, [Am] let it be.
[F] Let [C] it be, let [G] it be.
Let [Am] it be, let it [F] be.
[C]
These pure [G] words of wisdom, [Am] let it be.
[F] [C] Let go, let [G] go.
[Am] Can't hold it back [F] anymore.
Let [C] it go, let [G] it go.
[Am] Turn away and slam [F] the door.
[C]
Can you [G] feel the [Am]
love [F] tonight?
[C] When you're hot, then you're [G] cold.
You're yes, then you're [Am] no.
You're in, then you're out.
You're [F] up, then you're [C] down.
You're wrong when it's [G] right.
You're black and it's [Am] white.
We fight, we break up.
[F] You kiss, we make [C] up.
I [G] didn't know that [Am] I was starving [F] till I tasted [C] you.
Don't need [G] no [Am] butterflies when you give me [F] the whole dang [C] zoo.
By the [G] way, by the way, [Am] you do things to [F] my [C] body.
I [G] didn't know [Am] that I was starving till [F] I tasted [C] you.
Time [G] to [Am] say goodbye.
[F] [C]
[G] The running hands I [Am] never saw.
[F] You have to find [C] a little [G] way to get out [Am] of my way.
