Hi there, today is day 123 on Patti Kosterok's 365 Days of Fiddle Tunes, and it's kind of
a lazy Sunday here, just puttering around the new place and trying to get organized,
and then I think, oh well, I'll just take the dog for a walk, so that'll kill some time,
and then, oh, I need to go get some stuff at the mall.
So anyway, have to get this tune done.
It's 2.30. in the afternoon already. But this is a tune that I remember hearing, I don't know if he was a cousin of my mom's or not, from Grandview, Manitoba, Ivan Fisher is his name, and I know my mom used to go out there and spend her summer holidays there as a kid, and he was either a very close family friend or a cousin of some sort, and I believe he's still alive up in Grandview, and he was a fiddle player, and this is a tune that I first heard him play and fell in love with it. I recorded it on one of my albums, I can't remember which one, but it's called Lord Alexander's Reel. And again, using fiddleandpiano.com. [A] [D]
