Chords for Easy-to-Play Piano - Because He Lives (Matt McCoy)

_ _ _ Hey guys, it's Matt here with Acoustic Selection and today I'm going to teach the song Because He Lives.
It uses three [G] chords a G a _ [C] C
and [D] a D
_ When _ I try to teach my piano lessons, if you can learn to [G] just slowly play the chords and
[C] sing the melody, you can play a lot of [D] gospel songs _ and have a lot of fun
helping [F#] your praise and worship time.
For the G
[C] I've got all the C notes marked throughout the keyboard here to make it so you can find it here
If [F#] you do not have those marked find the two [C] keys and go one of the left and that's a C
for the G G note G chord _
C [Cm] down three is the G so it was [C] G
I mean C B [Am] A and it starts [G] over G F and so forth.
The G is every other note
Right there's a G
_ Move up three same formation thumb first finger middle [C] finger
That's a C
_ and with a D
[N] It's every other one but on your first finger you're going up a half a step which puts you in the [D] black key
So it's a D note
the F sharp and the A
[G] So it's G _ [C] _ [D] C D
What I do is start out with one hand
_ [G] _ God sent his son _ _ _ _

_ Heal _ _ and [D] forgive
_ What this [G#] does it works on your timing same as I teach my guitar lessons
It's about keeping that steady beat when you hear this tempo [D] or this metronome I [F] can
[G] Stop playing anyway
You just want to work on keeping that timing the same
After you come from with your right hand add your left hand play the exact same just an octave down
So I play a G down here and G up here
_ So on the verses and the chorus, it's G [C] C [G] _ [D] G [G] D

That's what I do I do both
Like I said, it's octave apart both G chords then my right hand and that's similar to a strumming pattern with guitar _

He holds [C] the _ future _

_ At the cross all those you can just play [C] this G [D] C and D [Em] every now and then in E minor
Which is every other one start with the E those four chords.
That's what you'll see.
[G] I teach in this channel so often using those four chords
[C] [D] You can play so many and a piano can look kind of confusing [A] and you see a lot of people
Going back and forth.
So you think [G] they're doing a lot of fancy notes and the advanced players are but if you're just starting out

Just play the same chord with both hands and I even
Lot of times my pinky will play another octave up the root note which on G chord
I'll play this G [C] on a C note
This C [D] on a D this D so you play it.
Here's D.
These are [C] D's C's [G] C's G's
But it's what I'm doing is just playing all the same note within the G G chord
[C] Or than the [D] C chord or within the D chord, [G] so I'll play it through it now and this time
I'm going to just go back and forth between the notes, but it's still I'm just playing the notes within that chord _
