Start Jamming...
Hey guys Matt here with Acoustic Selection.
Today we're going to learn the song He Knows My Name.
It just uses four chords
Three of the chords the G D and C are all formed the same way.
You take the original note say for [G] a G
This is the [C] G note
I have all the C's marked to make it easier for reference to find the [F#] C
Find the two [C] black keys and go to the left.
So C D E F G or
[B] C B A that's the seven keys
[E]
For the G you're gonna take [G] the G with your thumb first finger and middle finger and play every other one.
That's the G
For the [C] C same thing every other one.
That's the C [Em] for the E minor same thing
Every other one that's an E minor for the D
You want to start with the [D] D but play this F sharp this black key here and then the A key
Again [G] you on your right hand use your thumb first finger [F#m] and middle [G] finger so
[D] You [Em]
[C] might want to if you're just starting out start with [G] just the right hand
[D]
[G] [C]
[G] [C]
[D]
[G]
[D] [G]
[C] [G]
After you get more comfortable with that you're going to move to the left hand
Basically just play the exact same thing with the left hand if you're not comfortable playing all three play just the two outside ones
so [C] G C
[E] E [D] minor D or [G] play the exact same chord only use your
pinky finger middle finger and thumb so it's
[D] And as far as a strumming pattern or a pattern here [G] I'm going both and then right
both right so it's
[D] [Em]
[C] [G]
[C] [D]
[G]
[Bm] [D] [Em]
[C]
[G] [Bm]
[G]
[C] [G] He knows my [D] name
[G]
[C] He [G]
knows my
[D]
[G] He [C]
[G] sees each tear [D]
that [Em] falls
[C]
[D] So [G]
as you get more advanced
What you're gonna do as long as you're playing those chords those notes within the chord
Even I can start over to the next octave so I can play a C like that if I'm in a G like that
G a I mean G B and
D and I can start back over G be all the way down through here and you can as far as a pattern
You can just go back and forth
[D] [C] In the order you want as long as you keep that timing like I [N] say in my guitar videos
It's all about the timing just keep keeping that same beat.
That's what if you hear this
[C] That's what that's for it's just work on your timing so you can see how the verses in the chorus
[G] You'll play again verses here course here
[D] [Em] [C]
[G] He [C] for my [G] [D] heart
[G] Before
[D] even [Em] time
[C]
[G]
He
[C] [G]
Knows my [D] name
[G]
[C] He [G] knows
[D] [G]
He [C] [G] sees [D] For
[Em] [C] And he
[D]
[G]
[C] [D]
[G] [Em]
So [C]
[D] [G] that makes you look like you're a lot better player than you are a lot more advanced when you're
You
[D]
[Em] [C]
[G] can see a lot of people think it's difficult if you learn this chord piano
You can learn those four chords and play so many praise and worship songs
Again, if you're new start out with just the right hand
[D] [G] [C]
[G]
Go that way then add maybe the left hand just the top two then
[Em] [C]
add up the [G] full chords
[D]
[Em] And [C]
after you get [G] that
By [D]
[Em] [C] the keys within the chord if you got any questions message me subscribe if you haven't hope you guys have a great day
God bless
