All right, hello to all of my viewers out there.
Jabar Brown here.
Today we wanna go over His Eyes on the Sparrow.
And this is by Lauren Hill and Tanya.
I believe I'm pronouncing the last name right, Blunt.
All right, this is from the album Sister Act Two,
soundtrack.
I didn't make a track this time for this lesson.
What we wanna do is sort of go through this solo style.
I'm using the [A] stage cabinet and I may change that.
[C#] [B] [A#m] [C#m]
And I'm also using the superior grand piano.
[B]
[G#] [F#] All right, [N] so we're gonna use those two sounds
and we're gonna work our way through.
All right, so I'm gonna start at the beginning
and sort of play around with it a little bit.
As you can see or hear,
they, Tanya singing first and then Lauren.
Comes in later.
But there will be some chords that are sort of the same.
And then we'll go through a way to kind of
fill in the gaps with maybe a note here and there.
Something that you can kind of do with Rhodes.
You don't necessarily have to chord the entire time,
but there's a way [C#m] to sustain notes.
[D#m] [G#] Okay, and kind of move forward [F#] following the vocalist.
All right, so I'm just gonna start
and we'll pick up from there.
All right,
[C#] [B] [A#m] [G]
[B]
[F] all right.
[C#] Getting into [B] the song, Should I Feel [A#m] Fear?
[D#]
[D#m] [F#] [C#]
All [A#] [B] [A#m]
[E] [D#] [F#]
[G#] [C#] right, so let's kind of stop there
and let's kind of flow with the intro.
All right, because it gets just a tad bit tricky,
not really too much, but just a tad.
All right, so in the beginning, you have your piano.
[F#m] All right, so [C#] what we wanna do is focus on one thing.
All right, [B]
[C#] [G] okay, [B] and you'll notice that I'm using one hand.
[F#] Until [B]
[C#] [B]
we get to the [C#] latter part.
All right, so let's get started here.
First of all, I have G flat, A flat and D flat.
[B]
All right, next I have D flat, excuse [F#] me,
G flat, B [B] flat, B and E flat, excuse me.
Okay, [F#] so we start [C#] with these [B] three.
[A#m] All right, then I have A flat, [C#] B flat, D flat,
F on the top.
[G] All right, the next chord is G, B flat, [A#] D flat, E.
[B]
Okay, then we have [F#] G flat, [B] B flat, B, E flat.
All right, the next chord is B flat, B, E flat, G flat.
All right, now at this point, I wanna use two hands.
All right, my left hand will [F#] play G flat, B [B] flat, B, E flat
all in the left hand.
The right hand, I [F#] wanna play G flat on the bottom
and I wanna twang off of my [Fm] A flat [D#m] to my B flat.
So when we put all [C#] that together, [B] [A#m]
[C#] [B]
[G#m] okay,
and then [A#] we resolve on this chord,
[Fm] which is [F#] F, B [F] flat, [B] B and E flat.
And as they get [C#] started, they start the same way.
[B]
[A#m] Okay,
[D#] all right, all of that can really be played
with one hand, [C#] all right.
So the same notes [F#] starting [B] from the very [A#m] top, [G]
[B]
