I'm Julie, I'm your guitar instructor and I am going to teach you how to play Whiskey
Lullaby and this was requested by, who is this requested by?

Thank you, thank you producer.
_ [Em] Hi Amanda, I'm going to play your request.
So I'm going to show you all the chords you need [B] first.
[D] All the chords you need are D major, _ _ which is open, two, three, two.
_ _ G [G] major, _ _ _ which is three, two, open, open, three, three.
_ _ [Bm] _ _ B minor, which you're going to borrow the second fret and it's two, four, four, three and two. _
And then also A [A] major, _ open, two, two, two, open.
Let me show you how to play the little riff in the beginning.
So what you're going to do is you're going to make a modified B minor. _
[Bm] _ _ So the modified B minor is going to start on the fourth fret of the D string and it's
four, four, three and two.
So basically it's B minor without the bar.
_ So you're going to [B] strum probably just the last two strings and [E] you're going to hammer
on that second fret of the E like this, [D] _ _ like so. _
Then pick it, second, [E] open E, _ second fret B, [C#m] _ [D] or sorry, third fret B, [C#m] second fret B,
[B] _ _
open B like [E] this again.
[D] _ _ [E] _ _
[F#m] _ [B] _ Then [E] repeat it, [Bm] _ _ [E] _
_ but instead of going down the B string, you're going to go back to the
open E, [Em] _ _ [B] hammer on the second [G] fret and then third fret _ [D] of the E string.
So all together that riff.
_ _ _ [E] _
_ [C#m] _ [B] _ _ [D] _ _ _ [E] _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ _ And then I'm going to give you an [D#] option here, you guys.
You can do [D] picking with this.
[G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
You can strum, _ _ _ _ _ _ probably something like down, down, up, down, up, down, down. _ _
Kind of pick it out and see what works for you.
But the [C] chords in [Bm] the intro, in case you don't want to do that riff, are B minor _ and _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [G] G.
_ _ _ And that goes twice. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Now we are into our verse.
And our verse, remember all the chords [B] we need, I just gave them to you.
So we start with D, [D] _ _
_ _ _ _ [G] then G, _ _ _ _ [Bm] then B minor, _ _ [A] A, _ [D] D, _
_ _ _ _ _ [G] G, _ _ _ _ then [A] A. _
_ _ _ So with the vocals, it sounds a little bit like this.
She put [D] him out, D, _ _ [G] G, like a burning hot _ _ [Bm] cigarette, B minor, _
[A] _ A.
She [D] broke his heart, D, _ _ G.
[G] Spent his whole life trying to [A] forget, A. _
Then we go B minor.
[Bm] Watch him drink his _ [A] pain, A.
[D] A little at a time, again, [Bm] B minor.
Could get drunk [A] enough, A.
[D] To get her off his mind until _ [A] _ tonight, A.
_ Okay, now we are into our chorus.
So let's go through it.
We [D] got D, _ _ _ _ then [G] G, _ _ [A] A.
_ _ _ I'm going to do that again so it's a little bit more rhythmically accurate with vocals.
Put [D] that bottle to his [G] head and [A] pull the trigger.
_ _ Then we got B minor.
[Bm] He finally drank [A] away A's [G]
memory, G.
_ _ Repeat it, [D] D.
Life is short, but this time it [A] was bigger, A.
_ Then we go B minor.
[Bm] _
Strength he had to get [A] up, A [G] to G.
_ _ _ Then we go to [D] D.
We found him with his face down [A] in the pillow, A major.

Then the [C] ending [Bm] is again just B minor [G] to G all the way [E] through.
