[Am] Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here.
Gonna bring you a very classic song.
Real powerful and real simple.
And that's fun.
Fun for me anyway.
Hopefully for you.
So we'll zoom in.
I'll show you the chords.
Work on, you know, some basic rhythms.
Also I really appreciate your support by subscribing to this new channel of mine.
This is where I'm at.
And I love seeing you and playing and teaching and all that.
So thank you for that support.
Let's zoom in though and break this one down right now.
Here we go.
Alright, so we need some nice beginner chords.
And there's a cool little picking pattern that's really easy but it's got a cool sound to it.
Let's learn the verse.
It's an A minor.
So two, two, one.
[C] Then ring finger goes up to the third of the A and it's a C chord.
Then [D] I'm gonna target my index to the second fret of the G for my D chord.
And that is the verse [Am] chords.
A minor, [C] C, [D]
G, [Am] A minor.
[C]
[Dm] [Am] [C]
[D] [Am] [C]
[D] [Am]
And that pattern's really fun and easy, like I said earlier a few minutes ago.
When we have that A minor chord, we pick the A string, then the D string, and then we just strum down.
[C] Same thing on the C.
And then on the D, we do the same thing, but we're gonna start to pick on the [D] D string.
[A] So A minor.
[Am] [C]
[D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[G] So then we go into the chorus, which is now just strumming basic, very basic.
Down, down, down, down.
And it's a G chord.
[Am] A minor.
[G] So G to A minor.
Then F, and I'm gonna play F three, two, [F] one.
[C] Then these two fingers, the middle and the ring, move up for the C chord.
[G] So it's G for four, A minor [Am] for four, F [F] for four,
[C] C for four.
[G]
[Am]
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
[C] [G] [Am]
[C] [D] [Am]
[C] [D] [Am]
[C] [D] [Am]
[G] And so what you can do, this note can be with all the chords of the chorus.
So if you can play G this way, I like to play it ring, middle, pinky, because [Am] then I can
go to the A minor without switching [G] that, as opposed to ring finger, then it's the pinky.
So if you can play it this way, [Am] you go to A minor and you just keep your pinky finger
down, then you go to the [F] F and keep your pinky down, [C] then you go to the C, keep your pinky down.
[Am] [G] Right?
G, [Am] A minor, [F] F,
[C] C, [G] G.
[Am] [F]
[C]
[G] [Am] [C] [G] [D]
[Am] [C]
[D] [Am]
Alright folks, that was the lesson.
Hope you got something from it.
Thank you so much for the support by subscribing to this channel.

[C] C for four.
[G]
[Am]
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
[C] [G] [Am]
[C] [D] [Am]

[C] C, [G] G.
[Am] [F]
[C]
[G] [Am] [C] [G] [D]
[Am] [C]
[D] [Am]
