Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz hanging out, bringing you a classic lesson, crowd pleaser, easy songs,
you know, easy acoustic crowd pleaser.
So I'm going to zoom in, I'm going to show you the chords, and then I'll give you a rhythm
to work with as well.
Also just want to remind you that this is my YouTube channel, this is where I'm at,
and I'd love your support by subscribing to the channel, leaving comments about songs
you want to learn, and just all that support is so appreciated, and I'm really excited
for this new chapter.
So anyway, let's zoom in, and I'll teach this one to you right now.
Here we go.
All right, we're back!
So we're going to start with the G chord, I'm going to show you the chords first, and
you know, how they go by in the song, and then we'll work on the rhythm.
So we're going to play the G chord, [D] and we're going to have our ring finger on the third
fret of the B, [G] and pinky on the third fret of the high E, this kind of G, and what I
heard is, he's not really getting, kind of avoiding the high E if you want it to be super
accurate to the recording,
[C] [G] [D] [G]
but you still want the high E in there in case you, you know,
get that string in there.
So we got this G chord, 1, 2, 3, [C] 4, then we play a C add 9, and you take these two fingers,
and scoot them back to here, and these are still in the same spot.
And then a D [D] chord.
So that's the first [G] section.
[C] [G] [D]
[G] [C]
[D] [G]
[C] [G] [D] [G]
[C] [G] [D] So that's the first section.
The next section is E [Em] minor [D] to D.
So E [Em] minor to D.
[D] Then [C] we're going to play a regular C.
Before we were playing a C add 9, now we play a plain
old C back to [G] G.
So [Em] watch.
E [D] minor D, [C] C [G] back to G.
Same thing [Em] again.
E [D] minor D, [C]
C back [G] to G.
So, [Em]
[D] [C] [G]
[D] [C] [G]
[Em] and then we have the final part of the song, which is, something [G] [Em] unprecedable, E
minor [G] to G, [Em] I E minor [D] D to the [G] G.
[Em] So one more time.
It's E minor [G] to predict a G, [Em] E minor [G] to G, [Em] E minor [D] D back [G] to G, and it's the top.
[C] [G]
[D] [G]
[D] [Em] E minor [D] D, [C] [G] regular C to G, E [Dm] minor D, [C] C back [G] to G, [Em] E minor [G] to the [Em] G, E minor [G] to G, [Em] I E
[D] minor D [G] back to the top.
[D] [G]
[Em] [D] [Em]
[D] [C] [G] [Em]
[D] [C] [G] [Em]
[G] [Em] [G] [Em]
[G] [D] [G]
[C] [G] [D] [E] [G]
[Em] [G] [Em] [D]
[G] [D] [Em]
[G] [N]
[Eb] Down, down, up, up, [Ab] down, up, down, down, down, up, up, down, [G] up, down, down, up, up,
up, down, [E] up, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, down, down, up, up, [Dm] down, down, [G] up, up,
And [C] [D]
when I'm doing the strumming, I'm trying to emphasize that B string and not really
hit that high E.
And that's just what they're doing on the original [Ebm] recording [G] if you're
going, [D]
[G] [D]
[G] you know what I'm saying.
It's still going to work, but, and I'm actually, just for me, I'm planting my pinky down here.
I'm giving it a little more of a picking, you know, I'm stabilizing my hand and making
it sound like I'm kind of picking the strings a little more.
[C]
[D] [G]
[D] [Em] [D] [C]
[G] [Em] [D] [C]
[G]
[Em] [G] [Em] [D]
[G] [C] [G]
[D] [G] [C] [G]
[D] [G]
And that's it.
[Gbm] All right, there was the lesson.
I hope you got something.
I hope you had the time of your life.
Anyway, thanks for subscribing to this channel, leaving comments.
