[C] You know folks, Kevin Fowler is a [F] great example of what it means to [Am] be a Texas musician.
[G] He's always been [C] all about the fans, from his [E] live shows to his [F] studio work and [G] everything
in [C] between.
Well here he is, the pride of [Fm] Amarillo, Texas, [Cm] Kevin Fowler.
[C] The new record, Chippin' Away, is finally coming [F] out.
You know, [G] it's been three years
[C] since we've had a full length studio record out.
It's [Fm] just been an [C] exercise in patience.
[G#] We've gone from every record label I seem to [C] get on, I seem to run them out of business.
So finally we're getting a record out.
It's been done for almost a year, so it's been
really frustrating sitting [Dm] on it.
[E] We've had it [Am] done, we're [D] ready to show it off to people,
so we've had to sit on it.
[C] We're finally getting it out, and I think it's the strongest songwriting
I've ever [F] done.
Hell [C] yeah, I like beer.
I think it's very autobiographical.
If anybody [D] knows me, knows
that I have a true [Bm] affection for [G] cold blooded light.
I love me some cold beer, [F] and the song
[G] just fits me perfectly.
It [C] reminds me a lot of the earlier stuff I was really cutting
and writing when I [G] was just coming [C] out here 10, 12, 15 years ago.
[G] You know, like Beer
Bait and [C] Ammo, Lord I Was a Drinking [F] Man.
I'm really known for the beer drinking hell
raising stuff, [C] and this song just falls right in line with all that.
[G] It's kind of old [C] school,
tongue in cheek Fowler.
I think it's a great song, and it's blowing up the Texas music chart.

[Am] [A]
She was alone at a table for two.
I said now's the time to make my move.
So I got me a beer,
and I bought her a sex [E] on the beach.
[D] She saw that umbrella stuck in the glass.
That chunk
of pineapple made her [G] laugh.
[D] She took the beer from my hand and said thank you man.
I [E] didn't take her for the long neck kind.
She said boy [F#m] have you lost [E] your mind?
[C#m] [C] Hell
[A] yeah.
I [F#m] like [C#]
beer.
It [D] gets me grinning from ear to [A] ear.
Not just every [C#] now [B] and then.
[D] I
[E]
[A] can do it around [C#] the clock.
I [D] don't like it just a [C] little though.
[B] I like it a lot.
Even
though I'm [Dm] not.
[D] Hell [E]
yeah.
[C#m] I [A] like beer.
[C#]
[C#m] Oh I [D] love it.
[E]
[A] [Am] [A]
Yeah [D] it's good for your heart.
[A] It's
good for your mind.
[E] It's good for getting through [A] a lonely old night.
[D] Everybody knows
you [A] shouldn't [G#] drink too [A] [A#] much.
[B] But why does it always seem [E] like there's [G] never [G#] enough?
[A] Hell
yeah.
I [C#] like beer.
It [D] gets me grinning from ear [A] to ear.
Not just every [C#] now [B] and then.
I'm
[D] talking 365 [E] days a year.
[A] I can do it around [C#] the clock.
I [D] don't like it [C#] just a [C] little [B] though.
I like it a lot.
[D] Even though I'm not.
[E] Hell yeah.
[A] I like beer.
Everybody try it.
Come on
