Okay, so now we'll give a brief explanation of the six rasgueos on the Paco de Lucia technique,
which are five different from what was before Paco de Lucia because in Xavica's time there
existed three things only, which is the first one I will explain and other two.
Anyway in the private channel there is a detailed explanation of these rasgueos, but to give
an idea I will resume all in one video, just to give an idea of how are these techniques.
So rasgueo number one will be landing from one six, then little finger, ring finger,
middle finger down, index down.
One, two, three, four.
And I have to practice this, of course the nuances of volumes, how to play in different
strings, all this.
It's very complex to explain fast, but we will [D]
[Em] just say what's the [G] mechanism.
[F] And [A] this one, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four.
[N] So this thing was, this is Xavica's rasgueo also, that is not by Paco, but we almost don't
use this nowadays, that rasgueo.
This is the number one, but anyway it's useful to practice it.
The number two, rasgueo number two is little finger down, middle down, sorry, little finger
down, ring finger down, middle down, index down, index up.
Five things.
So same thing, I will try to practice it round.
One, [Ab] two, three, four, five.
One, two, three, [N] four, five.
One, two, three, four, five.
Right?
[Bm] And it will sound.
[Am]
[Bm] [C] [A]
So [Ab] [E] I have to start practicing the slow correct, like this, then next step.
[N] That's the rasgueo number two.
That's already a contribution by Paco.
This one didn't exist before.
Before Paco existed, little finger, ring finger, middle, index down, thumb up.
And ring finger down, middle down, index down, thumb up.
Only.
And the first one I explained.
This three.
So now we start.
This is rasgueo number two.
And now the number three rasgueo in the Paco de Lucía's technique is ring finger down,
middle down, index down, index up.
So, one, two, [E] three, four.
Done.
[Gb]
[Bm] [A]
Three [Bb] things, right?
Or, [E] [G]
same thing.
Ring finger [Abm] down, middle down, index down, index up.
One, two, three.
[Ab]
That's rasgueo number three.
[N] Now, rasgueo number four, will be index up, ring finger down, index down.
Or, ring finger down, index down, index up.
You can practice it like this.
Ring finger down.
When the ring finger goes down, the middle follows along with it.
So it's not something weird like this.
Just ring finger down, index down, index up.
One, two, three.
And again, same volume I have to [A] have in all the three notes.
[E] Right?
This is rasgueo number four.
The position of the thumb, you know, there is one.
Position one.
Here I will play more on the frets.
[A] Right?
The position two.
And position [N] three.
Like resting against the second joint of the thumb.
The top.
Not pressing [A] against, but resting against.
[Ab] Rasgueo number [N] four.
Now, those are the four rasgueos with the thumb on six.
The string.
The string on six.
And, well, eventually you can also [A] play this rasgueo number four here.
[Db] Now, one thing is that then it comes [B] the other two rasgueos that are freehand.
Are [N] thumb up, ring finger down, index down.
So thumb up, ring finger down, index [Ab] down.
That's freehand and I have to have the same volume in all three.
Not one volume in any of the three notes to make it round.
[E]
Then, [N] lateral rasgueo is thumb up, ring finger down, thumb down.
So, one, thumb up, ring finger down, thumb down.
[E]
[F]
[E]
Try and rest the top four strings.
Not on the guitar.
Take it from [Gb] one string, etc.
That I explain in the private channel because this is much more to this.
But this is just [N] to give an idea and to resume them all together.
Rasgueo number one.
Little finger down, ring finger down, middle down, index down.
Rasgueo number two.
Little finger down, ring finger down, middle down, index down, index up.
Rasgueo number three.
Ring finger down, middle down, index down.
Rasgueo number four.
Ring finger down, index down, index up.
Rasgueo number five.
Thumb up, ring finger down, index down.
And rasgueo number six.
Thumb up, ring finger down, thumb down.
That's how marvelous is this Paco de Lucía technique.
So except for the first, all the rest are contributions by Paco de Lucía.
