[G] [D]
[E] Hey everybody, listen up here.
This is Ray Wiley Hubbard and you're watching the Texas
music scene with my buddy Ray Benson.
[G]
Ray Wiley [A] Hubbard's album, The Ruffians' Misfortune, [E] certainly boasts [Bm] his signature
down and dirty [D] folksy blues, but there are a couple of [F#m] tunes where the tempo is [E] picked
up a notch and Ray goes a little punk [Bm] rock on us.
One [G] example was the song [A] Bad on Fords,
which was covered [E] by the Red Rocker himself, Sammy Hagar.
Well, it's just I really, I like to go out with Kyle Snyder on [G] drums and my son Lucas
and it's a really, [C#m]
it's a, [D] we can travel in a [E] van.
There's three [B] of us, Gear [D] and then
Aaron Young, our road manager, so we can just [A] go and just do it and it really works well
just three piece.
[G] We set up three across and [E] I just kind of keep the old, [F#] the low end going
and then Lucas [E] plays the mandolin and guitar and it works really well [G] that way.
I really
like it, you know, just, it's [A] kind of rootsy [Em] raw.
You know, it's not like the formula of
a [D] band, bass, drums, [A] guitar, two guitars [E] and so it really kind of fits the songs [G] that I've
got now.
It [A]
works like that very well.
[Dm] [E]
I'm a brother's Billy Gibbets tone.
I learned the blues from Memphis and how to find them
Texas bars.
I did a little time in Oklahoma for hot wiring cars.
I'm a hokey on the [B] road
with Jisham Engle and I saw the 402.
[Em]
But [A] I'll be good to you.
[E]
Hey pretty thing, maybe you heard of roller Mustang 429.
We're
running from a law outside of Kansas.
I call what's on mine.
You got the juice, you got
the chunk.
You get any man you want.
I'm pretty fast and you're a lot faster.
I'll bet you
ain't a dead guitar.
I'm a hokey on the [Bm] road with Jisham Engle and I saw the [B]
402.
Oh, [Em] I
saw the 402 Chevrolet.
And I'll be good to you.

[Em] [E] Hey pretty thing, let me show you my
LA ink tattoo.
And if you come with me to the city of angels, I'll buy one for you.
It's a one day drive from Abilene to the California [Em] state line.
[E] We'll stop at the San Diego and
bet it all on black 49.
I'm [Bm] a hokey on the road with Jisham Engle and I saw
[E] the [Em] 402 Chevrolet.
But I'll be good to you.
Oh, I'm a bad old 402 Chevrolet.
But I'll be good to you.
Oh,
I'm a bad old 402 Chevrolet.
But I'll be good to you.
[D]
Thank you [Em] guys very much.
