[Em] Well this Gibson is a Gibson J50 which is the same guitar that
James Taylor did all his early stuff on, not this actual one.
like a J45 with an adjustable bridge
Which is great.
Because I [Am] kind of like that

[Em] Well this Gibson is a Gibson J50 which is the same guitar that _ _
_ _ James Taylor did all his early stuff on, not this actual one.
Kind of like a J45 with an adjustable bridge _
Which is great.
I've got it as low as I possibly can
_ Because I [Am] kind of like that _
I like [D] the fact you can get when you hit it hard you get a bit of
Little bit of frat buzz [G] and of course [A] I'm getting a bit arthritic now
So it's easy to play short of scale and I'm artin as well.
_ I bought this in Nashville and it's the same age as me
_ _ [E] It was made in
1957 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ actually I had to try it in the shop and of course I only played a couple of chords on it
And thought I've got to have it.
I used it on the album I played
_ A song on the album called Mississippi John Hurt which actually I
_ Recorded entirely in this room apart from the drums which I did downstairs
_ My little tribute to Mississippi John Hurt one of my one of my idols when I've learned to finger pick _ and
It starts with one of his finger picks, which is pretty neat.
It's quite hard to play actually
_ _ [B] _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ So it does that for a _ bit
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
[G] _ [Gb] _ [Bm] _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Db] _
_ [Gm] _ [C] _ [A] _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Actually [Gb] _ features a lot on the album this _ so it's a cracker.
You know, it's a
_ Something about a good Gibson _ if you find one you just you know, you don't go looking _ again I mean _ _
_ _ Okay, one thing I'm very fond of my my resonator guitars
I've picked up all these wooden bodies ones recently, which I really like they're really mellow
_ Sounding this one was made in the _ _ 1930s
This one was made by Anderson's this is probably the cheapest one you could get and it's only got a four-way spider _
You know with with Dobro's the _ _ _ _ _ deep part of the resonator is in the middle.
So it's much mellower
_ _ [Ab] _ _ _ _ _ _
[Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _
_ [Ab] _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ [Ab] _
_ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ _
[Eb] and
Very mellower, I mean it is it's kind of a generically a Dobro but
_ Very unique sound so I did on my new album.
I did [Cm] _ did
_ _ [Eb] Wonderful _ _ _ _
_ _ [Cm] world the old Sam Cooke song.
[Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _ [Cm] _ _
_ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Fm] _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Cm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ [A] _
I did that one on this guitar
_ So on to this one, this was made by my good friend Mike Lewis
_ _ _ Now you can hear the difference and this is a prop [E] Dobro with a proper proper spider _ _ _ _
Resonator so it's got such [Gbm] a great _ _
[Em] _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ So
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ I used this one on a song called carousel on the album
Which has got my daughter playing bass and my other daughter doing back backing vocals
Lovely song that says the one the one on the album that a lot of people pick up on
[D] _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ [E] _ _
_ [A] _ [E] _ _ _ _ [Gbm] _ [G] _
_ _ _ _ [A] _ [E] _ [A] _ _
_ [Eb] _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ [A] _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Oh
Okay, _ [Ab] _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ so moving on from that one
_ _ _ _ I've got another fine [G] reservoir which is a completely different animal because this is a kind of
_ This is _ Mike's kind of a copy of a _ triolean which is the old wooden body one from the _ _ 30s _ _
And this is this is national to style.
It's got a wooden biscuit bridge _
So the sounds transferred into the middle of the cone which of course is high because it comes around the other way on the national _ and
_ To the high parts in the [Abm] middle _ in here _ _ it was so [Cm] microphonic kind of [G] thing _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ Now this one's made by Mike Lewis as well
_ Beautiful piece of maple.
It did be maybe a string winder out of this a bit of spare wood _ [A] [G] but
_ _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ [D] _
_ [C] _ _ [G] _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ That's
So that's me that's me national style fine reservoir on it, which is which I love I used that on a track on the album _ called _ _
Highland blues, it's a lovely thing.
It's a lovely thing.
I think it likes
_ Like like me.
I think it likes flat keys.
I like a flat B flat
_ _ _ G flat which is what this was tuned in
_ _ So there you [D] go.
There's my three _ _
Resonator guitars _ old friends great friends _ _ _ _
[Am] _ [Gb] _ [Bm] _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ [Db] _ _
